  • Title: Well-Forged and Goblin-Free
  • Emitter: Cryosanthia
  • Characters: Cryosanthia, Mikilos, Glasha, Aetheras
  • Place: A15: Mithralla Merchandise
  • Time: Wednesday, August 19, 2020, 3:47 PM
  • Summary: Cryosanthia bring Glasha to Mithralla Merchandise to introduce her to Mikilos. The two hit it off and start talking about creating mundane and magical weapons and the various permits required in Alexandria. Cryo talks to Luna, Glasha's familiar who was made sentient in her egg, and the bird shows off her sarcastic side. Glasha departs, and Cryo catches Mikilos up with what has been happening to her, little, and around Alexandria, the bad druid dood, and demons. They are interrupted by Aetheras who, after a brief male dominance competition, reveals he would like a chrome handy haversack to stuff goblins in. Sadly, he is short some coin and Mikilos will not wager, so he backflips out. Cryo muses about a Crimson Pen story about a lady dragon and a mage, where the mage is assisting her in impressing suitors by creating mounds of temporary gold, then invites Mikilos to dance so they can share company longer and the two head off to the ballroom.

Here, a large wooden structure has been built. Its somewhat eccentric yet elegant design suggests its owner may be of the arcane persuasion. To the side of the main structure is a small corral to for horses or wagons. Before the central building, a massive sword emerges from the earth. A sign upon it reads: "MITHRALA MERCHANDISE."

Inside is a small seating area with several comfortable chairs. To the back, an unobtrusive but businesslike sales counter, and two large signs. One asks patrons to please wait here and not disrupt those inside the lab. The other offers a lab rental at a very reasonable rate.

To the left and right are a large set of doors. The doors on the right lead to a large room which takes up most of the building. Several long tables are scattered about, many with small tool racks. A small forge sits off to the side. Unlike the average workshop, maps of celestial bodies and guides to the elemental planes line the walls. Large frameworks of brass, silver, and crystal occupy space between the tables. A large shelf dominates the far wall, the containers upon it sporting such labels as "wyvern bile," "sulfur," "tiger's tears," and other exotic items. A glass-covered hole in the roof, set with mirrors, offers direct sunlight, or moonlight, to shine upon various projects.

The doors to the left lead towards the direction of the mountains and what is reported to be a sildanyari-style ball room. Wizards.

During regular store hours, a young Llyranesi man, Belhan Mithralla, keeps an eye on the shop and the lab. When not cleaning or helping a customer, he can usually be found reading some book from the library.

It's a hazy and hot day. The mist has cleared, somewhat, but the sky is full of tall clouds and the humidity remains high, making the air feel like a blanket.

Cryosanthia is making good on her promise to make introductions for a certain half-orc wizard to a certain dawn-elf one. She's met with the former and brought her to the latter's place of business. She was a guest here for a while, so she's comfortable entering the store, but tries not to do so as if she owned the place. Stepping in, she holds the door open behind her as well as knocks on it. Looking around she asks, "Belhan, is Mikilos available? This one has someone who wishes to meet him."

"Just a moment and I will be." Mikilos calls from the storage room. A little shuffleing and the elf emerges, nodding with a smile to the cool lizard. "How may I be of assistance?"

Glasha stands just behind Cryosanthia and to the side. She smiles at the one she addressed as Belhan and waves. As Mikilos comes in, she waves again. "Hello," she risks.

"Hello Mikilos. Peace on your Nest!" Cryosanthia is standing tall and bouncing a little with her ankles, smiling with a rather large number of teeth on display. Today she's wearing her layered wizarding robes, the bright white ones with repeating snowflakes and dragon-eyes.

"This one had offered to make introductions. With me is Glasha, and her Familiar Luna. She's a wizard with an interest in weapon crafting. I also wished to check on you, to see how you are recovering. Apologies again, for the hug last time. Have you found new goals?"

Mikilos grins, nodding politely at the introductions. "Greetings Glasha, and Luna, and welcome." Turning focus to Cryo, he nods. "I'm doing alright, mostly recovered. I can't say I've really settled on any projects, but have a few ideas I've been looking into. Any way, how are you?"

Glasha manages to smile again. "That's me," she says after Cryosanthia introduces her. She looks up at Luna, then at the wood of her axe's haft. "I made this," she says. "The axe, not Luna."

"You were there when I hatched," Luna says in a pale imitation of Glasha's voice.

"Although I am apparently her mother," Glasha corrects herself, "as she continuously corrects me."

"Well, ah..." Cryosanthia sweeps into the room, always startling in the swiftness with which she moves and the careful way her tail flows around objects without striking them or knocking something over. She could clear a table very effectively. The whitescale ends up beside a self, pulling out a random book to look at it, "... keeping busy, around Mictlan. Helping out some fishermen. I freeze the hold of their boat before they go out."

The book is open, pages perused at random. "Trying not to think about things... too much. Waiting for inspiration to strike I suppose."

She does end up looking at Luna, "I haven't seen a familiar that talks before. Is she a Witchcrow? Or... WizardCrow ... do those even really exist?"

Mikilos frowns mildly at Cryo. "Freeze their... oh, 'hold'. I was thinking 'hull' and confused myself. As for corvid, many ravens form words, and several familiars speak. Combine the two, and not so shocking." He nods politely to the bird in question, but his real attention goes to the axe. "You forged the blade yourself? Where did you get the metal? And the wood?"

"I'm a raven, genius," Luna says.

"Be nice," Glasha says without looking up at Luna.

"What?" Luna quips back. "I said she was a genius. That means smart person."

"Ravens naturally mimic sounds and voices," Glasha says to Cryosanthia. "Familiars are blessed with supernatural intelligence. Combine the two, and Ravens familiars tend to develop speech." Now she looks up at Luna. "And apparently sarcasm."

To Mikilos, Glasha says, "Steel is a blend Mom developed. Wood was a gift from my grandparents when I turned sixteen. I mean...I wanted a flying carpet, but I know why they said no," she admits with a shrug.

"It's Cryosanthia, Cryo in emergencies, which hopefully won't be today." She replies to Luna, nodding to Glasha. She continues, "I was curious what you remembered about hatching. I remember mine too."

Cryo looks over at Mikilos, "Side effect of the Fae Queen's Apple. The memories have faded some since the Mistake was neutralized, which is odd because it wasn't Her Apple. I remember remembering at any rate. Mind-blowing."

"Anyhow, sorry to interrupt. Steel weapons and things. Mikilos almost got the secrets of making a Mortal Weapon!" The white sith puts the book back into the shelf, carefully lining up the spines, then slips over to another shelf and starts sniffing the books there.

"True Death weapon." Mikilos corrects mildly. "The one I came to hold was called Mortal Dread. Apparently the first mortal, the third person ever, to weild it. Not sure how close I really came to learning their construction. I'm not certain the fey know, the weapons either grown or forged by the gods of the fey. Anyway, crafting, are you intrested in the forging itself or just enchanting?"

"Nothing," Luna says, shiftily. "Who's asking? Your mother." She looks around, as if looking for the person spying on the conversation.

Glasha sighs. "I bound Luna as my familiar before she was hatched," she explains. "And if you don't think that's a bad idea for a twelve year old apprentice with only her father to reign her in, magically, then imagine becoming sentient and remembering what life was like inside the egg." She turns to Mikilos. "Or the womb as the case may be." She points a finger at him and says, "Yes. I'm working on getting the permits to set up in the city, but I don't quite know how to enchant weapons, yet. I do know how to make some magic items, though," she says, proudly.

Cryosanthia bobs her head slowly, her tail coils to one side behind her then reverses the curve. She bumps a shelf with it on the return stroke, which makes her startle and stand straighter. Mikilos gets an acknowledgement as he corrects her also, mostly a glance and a blink. She turns back to sniffing book spines, or perhaps she has to get so close to read them her nose is almost touching.

Mikilos smiles. "I was the only wizard in my family, but were enough tutors and such around I didn't get too wild. As for permits, likely want to start with the Guild of Explorers as they can help streamline the process and offer referances. You'll likely need to talk with someone from the Society of Progressive Arcanists, and likely the Steelsmiths Guild. Wouldn't hurt to go speak with the Watch if you plan to end up with a few magical weapons on hand. Will all vary with what exactly you plan to do. Are several workshops around, and places can establish your own without too mcuh trouble. I rent out a workshop myself, far as that goes. Are a wide range of suppliers for raw materials, I'd suggest taking an afternoon to head to the lower market and look for Iron Row, series of small trinket shops, but most are directly backed by a mine to show off the quality of their metals. They can put you in touch with somone for bulk orders if you want to go that route." The elf considers a few moments. "And far as all that goes, while I do take pride in forging my own weapons, the local craftsmen truely are high quality. Almost any of them can provide matierals suitable for enchatment."

Glasha drinks it all in and says in a wide-eyed, glassy stare. "Oh, now look what you did," Luna says. "You broke her!"

Glasha begins speaking in monotone, her eyes glazed over, "Guild of Explorers. Already a member of the Arcanists. Need to find Steelsmiths Guild. Talk to the watch. Permits are for weaponsmithing vehicle. Iron Row. Trinket shops. Bulk orders. No thank you, I like forging my things." She blinks slowly.

Luna pecks Glasha's head. "Hey!" she says, rubbing where she was pecked and glaring up at the bird. "Ow!" She looks at Mikilos again and says, "Okay, look, that's a lot to take in. Basically, while I appreciate the offer, I'm already on the road to set up a cart I can use to smith people things. I can fix almost anything, anyway, so I won't be hurting for capital. I've already submitted the appropriate paperwork, so now I'm just waiting on approval to get started. /Then/ I'll need sources of raw materials, but for more impressive jobs or special materials, I plan to get payment in advance, which will allow me to work with minimal overhead. I can't afford the space to keep a half-tonne of unworked iron lying around for bulk projects with a setup like that."

Cryosanthia reaches the end of the shelf without finding anything that looks or smells interesting enough to take down and open. She attempts to listen to the conversation, but it mostly goes over her head and declaring she was able to make some leather seems a weak ante into it. Her thoughts wander and she stares off at nothing in particular. A few mental images occupy her, forges, quenching weapons. She ends up wondering again how Braelnoir managed to enchant something by getting mad at it. Outwardly, she's standing still, making no expressions. Even her tail has stopped moving and hangs until it rests on the floor. Unblinking, she's looking at Mikilos as the requirements and counter-requirement achievements go back and forth.

Mikilos laughs. "Sorry, I tend to ramble, trying not to leave anything uncovered. Can get a little long winded at times. Alexandria is in many ways a city of Adventureres, so is plenty of business to go around. Always someone looking for a new magic sword or whatever. I started with little more than a tent and an anvil myself, worked up over the years. Stick to whatever suits you."

Glancing to Cryosanthia, he smiles, fairly used to her 'still' moments. "you have any particular plans for the afternoon?"

"Oh! No, this one did not. Did you have something interesting in mind? Can this one assist you?" Cryosanthia lights back to life, her neck straightening, tail lifting off the ground. "This one has news too, or portents, things to worry about should you feel inclined to go adventuring."

The white sith'makar waves as the half-oruch and familiar exit the shop on an errand.

Cryo waves her hands, "Spending time in your company would be nice. This one is free."

Mikilos shakes his head. "I've nothing specific in mind, but as you say a bit of company would be nice. What sort of portents? It's been a while since I've done Guild job, but is always possible something will come up."

Cryosanthia moves out of the shelves so she is standing closer to Mikilos. His height is near enough to hers that with a relaxed stance and curl to her neck he is at eye level, and this seems to make her more comfortable.

"This one was on an Explorer's Guild mission to investigate Rocs that were falling from the sky. It turned out they were being poisoned, and their eggs stolen from their nests. We tracked the theives, encountering a man who sent trolls at us. They were defeated, and I tried, really hard to stop him escaping, but he was a druid and he turned into a giant elemental and flew away."

Her right hand wriggles, a nervousness, or as if she wishes she was holding a dagger. "This one spoke with the Green Union, by his description and behaviour, it is Vidor Hawfslur, who wished to be a druid with a Roc companion and was denied because he was too inflamatory. He has found some dark patron and taunted us that he would bring down the Union, and implied he had allies."

Mikilos frowns thoughtuflly, nodding. "I had heard something about falling rocs, but assumed it was something for a drunken braggart tale. I have little dealing with the Green Union, but have no wish to see them harmed."

Cryosanthia notices her tell-tale hand and gives it something to do leaning on a nearby counter with it as the support. "This one has little dealing with them also. I've been spreading this information. I'm not sure what happens next."

Her head moves a little closer to the dawn-elf's, "You know, I hope, that Acedia was successful and everyone lost on our expedition was back. Lady Serene, had complications, but she prevailed eventually. Kira too, she is well. Merek is also back, changed by his experiences. I see them rarely... perhaps it is the memories associated. This one strives to look forward, and thanks again, for all you did for me."

She quickly changes the subject, "I have heard there are weaknesses in reality and it is allowing demons through, but little more beyond the vague postings on the missions offered by the Guild."

Mikilos smiles mildly, and nods, shifting with the topic. "Such thin places in the Veil between world have always been around, but there certainly have been some shifts the last few years. I havn't heard of anything specific or recent, but I can't say as I'm too surprised. Though if some force is weaking the walls of reality on purpose, rather than just taking advantage of natural variations, that could be a problem."

"Well... some are in the sewers. A detail which could be important or irrelevant. All things considered, perhaps more likely to be important." Cryosanthia says, adjusting her weight and her lean. She faces Mikilos directly, her pupils thin slits in her blue eyes, and her blinks come very infrequently. She makes a little shrug and a mild smile also, "That's all this one has managed to keep in her head! This one feels there is more, life goes on, things transpire, but I am not there to see them or recognize significance. It has been very foggy of late. I don't know if that matters either."

Mikilos laughs, speaking with Cryo inside the main shop. "The sewers are fairly nasty as a start. I almost feel sorry for any demons that end up in them. Almost." He nods, more seriously. "Can be very hard to tell what details are important and which are not, espically while events are happening. Even after, hard to tell how much of the true story was missed."

The whitescale sith'makar laughs with him, and changes position so she is leaning back against the counter and supporting herself with both hands. Her mild smile turns into a much more impish grin, one showing lots of teeth, with her voice going conspiratorial and tempting, "Indeed. Speaking of stories, have you read the latest Crimson Pen? Have you found yourself, ersatz immortalized therein, or perhaps something salacious about Sandy? This one has not been keeping up. I will presume, no spillovers, no hopeful suitors appearing in your shop?"

Aetheras wanders in, holds up an open palm, "I'am a hopeful suitor of merchandise, does that count for aught?" he asks, smiling.

Mikilos quirks a brow and shakes his head, distracted by Aetheras' arrival. "If the words 'throbbing' or 'heaving' come up I might throw you out, but can stay for now. How may I be of assistance?"

Cryo adopts a less casual posture, standing up and away from the counter. She turns to look at Aetheras, making sure she isn't blocking Mikilos' view, "As the master says," she gestures towards Mikilos.

Aetheras nods and does a rather artistic, melodramatic and yet dextrously impressive mock-bow.

"A humble patron, sir," he says, standing up. "I have been told by less dubious than usual sources that you are able to do all manner of enchanting, and if so I am here to part with my gold quicker than a nubile Sildanyari maiden!"

"...parts with her virtue!"

Mikilos chuckles but nods. "I do work a wide range of enchanments and magical items, though such matters typically take several days. If your endurance with maidens is half so long, congratulations, I suppose."

Aetheras spins once on a heel and does a plie. "Good. I wish to purchase a Handy Haverscak, which now I say it, sounds remotely castrate-y, but such is the whim of the gods. One big enough to stuff Goblins into.

Cryosanthia turns her head back and forth, looking between the two. Her expression is inscruitable but she appears engaged. Her tailtip twitching. "AH! It is a male dominance ritual! So exciting!"

This is followed by a gesture at her shoulder-straps, and a whitescale pack that is worn high across her back. "This one has one of those. No goblins have been stuffed, but it is indeed handy."

Mikilos blinks, looking to Cyro a few moments before glancing to Aetheras and back again. "...I never would have thought to put it in those terms, but now that you point it out..." The wizard considers a moment, and returns his focus to the fellow elf. "Anyway, yes, they are quite handy, use one myself. Will run you 1,200 gold and take about two days to stitch the bending of reality. Do you have any particular color or design you'd prefer? Is a lot of room for innovation around teh core design, so may as well make it something you like."

Aetheras taps his chin. "Something incredibly unsubtle would suit me. Can it be chrome or the like?" he says, holding out the bag of platinum that Mikilos has just asked for.

"Chrome is very unsubtle, that is true." The whitescaled woman agrees, curling her tail back and forth. She looks at Mikilos, "I can browse the shelves or go play in the ballroom if you need me out of the way for this."

Aetheras continues, "You will find that I'm about 3 score short, but I'll play a game of chance against the balance. You win, I'm 6 score short, I win, you make me my chrome gobber bodybag. Agreed?"

Mikilos grins, but shakes his head. "I respect the offer, but I don't gamble with business. I have employees and contractors to think of. Might work out this time, but is a bad habit I don't plan to start. As for actual chrome, I don't think I can pull that off. however, could certainly layer a number of chrome plates and sequins over the core leather." To Cyro he shakes his head. "If you like, of course, but i think we're mostly done for the moment."

Aetheras snaps his finger, "Alas and alack. I should now say I respect that, but for an archmage who can probably conjure that without trying, I find your risk-aversion disturbing..."

Cryosanthia nods. She stays in the room, but moves to the other side of Mikilos. Aetheras' last comment makes her snort out a loud laugh, "Oh if you only knew. That's funny. That's really funny."

Mikilos laughs and shakes his head. "Sadly, conjuration doesn't work like that. Likely best, would sort of ruin the value of gold if could just conjur piles of it." The wizard considers a moment. "Well, technically can, but the pile would fade away again after a few minutes. And even that takes years of practice and hours of study for each casting."

Aetheras chuckles with Cryo, then frowns at the macro-economics 101 reminder.

"Most certainly, and so everyone tells me. I have sulphur all over my clothing from trying to learn the gods-accursed cantrip of light...and I'm a butt-crack's width away from giving up on magecraft and focusing on fighting beautifully instead...but not yet, not yet!" he says, punching his fist into his palm.

"Oh you like the fancy swordplay and the witty reparte?" Cryo asks, tilting her head as she gazes at Aetheras. She blinks, "Wait, this one has been sucked into it. Curious." She smiles widely, sounding positive and encouraging, "Never give up on your dreams. You can do it!"

Mikilos grins. "A little magic is very handy to have in a pinch. Not quite so handy as a LOT of magic, but swordskills tend to be a bit more practical. I try not to let myself get too rusty, but admit my fencing isn't what it might be."

Aetheras nods to Cryo, "Among other things, Lady Alabaster!" he says with a flourish. "So, I shall return when I've managed to accrue a hand's-worth of platinum, shall I?" he offers, rhetorically, as he lobs his coin back behind his back and over his head to catch it chest-high an arm's length away from his body.

Some of the conversation has been interesting food for thought, and as Cryo digests it and seeing how she is in a silly mood, it prompts some wild ones. She bounces in place eagerly, her eyes glittering, "This one has just had her next Crimson Pen story idea. A hapless master mage is captured by an Amorously Lady Dragon who wishes to exploit his talents at conjuring large piles of fake money, so she can impress suitors with her... huge mounds of money. Of course, it only lasts for a brief time, so there are all sorts of hijinx to get the drake out before the spells expire. Intwined are conversations about superficiality, and impressions, and perhaps the hint of a friendship. Although she always threatens that she might eat him in the morning."

She waves her hand a few times in Aetheras' directions, "And the Drake can say some of the things you said. Yes. Is there such a thing as a chrome dragon? Hmm... I'm still not sure about the invisible unicorn at the bottom of the sea. Possibly. Yes... this will work."

Mikilos just stares for a long moment at Cryo, blinking several times. "....I've heard of quicksilver dragons, but I'm not positive they're real. Anything outside the core 10 tend to get odd... red, black, white, green, blue, gold, silver, copper, bronze, brass...."

Aetheras tiltis his head towards Mikilos, says to Cryo. "And that's why he has no friends. Dragon geek." He shakes his head. "Anyone in the mood to dance or prance or freelance? Otherwise, I shall return anon."

"Ah... I'm interferring with the business transaction. This one apologies." Cryo drops to a lower energy level, less movement all round, her arms in and hands clasped, her tail low and behaving. There's a non-subtle shift in her position, she stands closer to Mikilos. She makes a small curtsey towards Aetheras, she declines to dance, "This one would not detain you on your routine."

Mikilos chuckles, and shrugs. "Well, there is the ballroom. i really should get around to hosting some sort of dance or something... midsummer is past... maybe the equinox... could invite the Wee Queen... need to set up meetings with her anyway." Aetheras nods, bows, and uses the position to explosively backflip.

"Until then," he says, heading back out into the world's most astonishing metropolis.

Cryo watches the backflip and the man's exit wordlessly, then turns to Mikilos, "This one was at a very nice Midsummer Celebration with Elly and Kami. Braelnoir was there too, out at Wilderness Pointe. It came upon me suddenly, or I might have let you know."

She looks in the direction of the ballroom, "Hosting a dance would be wonderful, and this would like to be around if the Wee Queen is to appear. I still wonder if the other two monarchs would have been of assistance, and other things. As you said, never the full story."

The white sith turns to stare at Mikilos, blue eyes shining, "If you don't want me to write the story, even using... what was the other name? Bikilos, I won't. I wish the best for my friends, and the stories are a way of hoping things work out for them, and perhaps warning about being around dangerous women, and agreeing to things with them."

Mikilos grins. "i complain aobut the Pen tales, but honestly that's half the fun. They do make for trouble sometimes, but over all are entrertaining."

"I will see what I can do. They are happier thoughts than what have occupied me of late." Cryosanthia says, sounding serious and gazing off at a wall of the store. She exhales, her breath visible inside for the first time, cool enough to be seen. Her head turns, she is facing Mikilos, whimsical again, "This one would enjoy dancing with you. You may step on my feet, This one will endeavor not to step on yours. If that interests?"

Mikilos grins. "I'm not much a dancer, but perfectly happy to give it a go. Shall we?"

"Yes!" Cryo says, with great enthusiasm. She bows to the Dawn Elf, then extends her hand for him to take. Prancing, with high steps, her tail rides along horizontal behind her. As she leads towards the ballroom, her clothes switch, from wizarding robes to a gorgeous dancing gown, something loose and suitable for high energy things, like a tango. She grins widely, "We shall."

And off they go.

Dramatis Personae

Cryosanthia
For those who have known her, Cryo is older, much older. Gone is the light on her feet, heavy in the fray, whimsical lizard girl. There is no trace of the fading youngling features which betrayed her youth, her lithe build, her playful exagerated expressions. She looks like her mother might, bigger overall with larger horns, more scale plates, a stronger keratin crest and fearsome talons. Even her gory tattoos have vanished. The Cryo you knew is gone. In a seeming instant.

For those who meet her afresh, Cryosanthia is an elegant sith-makar woman in the first year of her second century. She radiates confidence, a deep power from within. Her scales are a brilliant white, highlighted by ones which are the palest of glacial blues. These pale scales trace out the scars she used to bear, her hide is restored. She bears two fantastic patterns of these, one on her chest, the other completely covering her back from crest to tailtip. When the light hits right, one sees the dragon within. Her bearing is intense, her motions minimal grace. Two horns sweep back from her brow. Her eyes are like glittering saphhire gems, and when she blinks her eyelids have the glacial blue to them as well. She wears a white layered robe, cut for her species, with shimmering blue piping, highlights and whorls. She carries no weapons, and still keeps a tiny bag close to her heart.

For those who know the story, Cryo has been changed, physically and fundamentally by her experiences. She is a lifetime older, but a human lifetime. Still young for a sith-makar, she has centuries to go. Cryosanthia grew into herself under the fae Queen and is the only one to return with memories. These are, sadly, disrupted and Cryo struggles to reconnect with herself, her body, and friends she hasn't seen in decades. Alien at times even to the sith-makar, her heritage is written on her scales, along with her spells.

Cryosanthia, Speaker of the Sith-Makar.

Mikilos
Mikilos is a slender male Dawn Elf, freakishly tall by elven standards, standing a full head over the average human. His ivory skin and long blonde hair hold a rosy warmth, as if dappled in spring sunshine, even when such light is not present. His hazel eyes are deep set, and spark with curiousity. His hands are long and nimble, but hold callus and stain from long use in craft.

He is dressed in a simple Grey robe, of a simple cut, unadorned with decoration. It is however a strange, almost painfully Neutral Grey. His waist is defined by a simple leather belt, from which a scroll case hangs upon one side, a well-used scabbard on the other. Both trousers and boots are simple, black, and practical. An occasional cloak guards against the weather or dust. Upon his brow sits a simple circlet of silver, set with a small stone which shifts from blue to violet, depending on the light.

Glasha
The camoflauging effect of green skin is ruined on this particular woman by platinum-white hair cut in a layered bob. Her round face has surprisingly soft features. Her nose is a little wider than a human woman of the same height and is pierced. A silver ring hangs over her upper lip. Her lips are fuller than many Oruch's, but they part for short, stubby tusks that balance out underbite and overbite with a pair of broad incisors.

Her form is fit and her arms and legs are more thickly muscled than average, though they are also soft and retain their graceful curves, more like a strong human woman than the bulging muscles of an Oruch. She also actually has curves to her body. Her chest is larger than most humans, but not as firm as most oruch. She is tall for a human woman, but dismally short for an oruch.

Aetheras
An atypical member of his race, this relatively large and martial-looking Shadow Elf stands out as much for the marks of time all over his body as for his unusual build and features.

His eyes are entirely obsidian, though they sparkle as if there are star-motes within. His dreadlocks are gathered up in a high pony-tail, and decorated with feathers, bones and beads, their tone and sheen reminiscent of thick copper wires.

His unusual dark bronze skin shows scarring, random burn marks, and most importantly, a large slave-mark on his right pectoral.
