  • Summary: Cesran is at the Explorer's guild, researching a personal project involving Alexandria's maps of the sewers. Cryosanthia arrives, having reviewed some logs for saguhain or Ner-Sektoth encounters, specifically for their funeral arrangements. There's no information. Seyardu arrives with similar thoughts, as Ral-sara, Cesran's staff, calls to Lily and Cryo. All the adventurers gather at the same table and discuss. Cesran shares how he's looking for a collection of poetry between Serriel and Vardama, which Cryo is skeptical about, and the two Sith'Makar relay their experiences as the docks with the four-armed mutant and what would be the best way to honourably dispose of his body. A slightly more officious 'dumping overboard' in the form of a burial at sea is the best they can come up with. Cesran departs. Seyardu and Lily discuss the Kobold's creation, a walking crab machine. Braelnoir arrives to meet up with Cryo, part of their Shell Game. Lily disguises herself as a Xian human, Cryo selects a starved-thin black dragoness Sith'makar look and confirms Lily's route. She, her Ssassa and Aunt will meet up at Ssassa's lair at Mikssoss' place.

As the phoenix is Alexandria's national symbol, so too has its Explorer's Council, often called the Adventurer's Council, risen from the ashes of its destruction.

Guards and mercenaries fill the interior of this huge building, one of the largest in its immediate area. Strong, metal walls divide its interior, crafting halls, briefing rooms and offices. A large space near the front has been set aside for mingling and stocked with comfortable chairs to wait in.

This area is catered by one of the Society of Arcanists' more famous chefs, a small lucht with a predilection for otherworldly cuisine and tentacle soup. Security here is as tight as it is anywhere in Alexandria, even more so now after its recent destruction. Sharp eyed sentinels and guards are ever-watchful and all manner of security contraption is said to be residing within the walls of the building. The walls are pristine for now, though not for long, and artfully decorated with murals depicting heroic adventure by members of all communities and races of the region.

The windows to the Council Hall are now stained glass, artfully decorated to depict famous moments in Alexandrian history, ranging from the death of Altima at the hands of the Phalanx Falcis at the end of the Sorceress Wars, to the city triumphantly emerging from the Mists to a changed world. Many spaces have been set aside for new stories to be added, with numerous tale yet to be written.

No matter how many times the Hall has been rebuilt, the statue in the front remains the same: a lone warrior facing off against what is presumably thought to be 'Cuddles the Otyugh Queen', with the Council's motto, below: Anything for the right price.

Cesran is sitting at one of the many tables and he's got some books, maps and other papers spread out before him. His staff is standing up right behind him, peering over his shoulders as he seems to be engrossed in. It's getting late, although Cesran either doesn't mind or hasn't notice. He hmms as he looks at a couple of the papers and shifts them around before he goes back to writing in a small book.

Moving through the main area like a woman on a mission is a white-scaled Sith'Makar with a youngling riding on her shoulders on a small saddle that's part of a backpack. The lizard woman pauses at the mission board and carefully looks through the rookie and journeyman postings.

Nothing about Kobolds. Good. She moves over to the front desk.

"Shift over please Little Fang." Her child moves to her shoulder and she reaches into the pack and brings out a bunch of mission logs. One-handed, she has to grab a few times, finally setting the stack on the counter.

"Thank you," she tells the clerk, "Do you have anything else with Saguhain in them?

"Have to go further back. I'll give you the registry to look at." The clerk vanishes. The Makari exhales and waits, tapping a toe-claw.

Cesran continues to work diligently at the table and doesn't notice the pair come in. Fortunately Ral-sara does and she makes a noise that is a reasonable facsimile of clearing one's throat, not too bad considering Ral-sara is just a crystal dragon head on on a staff. Cesran continues to work as he starts to look carefully through some old maps. The dragon staff's brow furrows as she clears her throat again louder. Cesran is leaning in close so his nose almost touches the map. Ral-sara rolls her eyes and instead calls out, "Cryosanthia and Lily it's so good to see you again!"

"Peasss on you Knessta!" Lily says immediately, having been looking around more than her Ssassa.

Cryosanthia, lost in impatient thoughts, startles and looks around. The dragon-staff! The owner! Cesran. She glances quickly after the vanished clerk. No one looks like they're returning soon. She heads their way.

"Cesran, Peass... peace on your nest. Ral-sara also." Cryo lifts Lily off her shoulders and sets her on the table, hissing, "Do not step on his things." <draconic>

To the mage, she says, "Good to see you here again, so soon. A thought occurred just now. Do you know funerary rites, for Saguhain?"

It was chance that Seyardu was at the adventurer's guild as well. Carrying the body to the temple of Vardama delayed her quite a bit, and did not leave her time to make a proper report about what happened, too tired to do so that day. So another day, when she had the time, A silver scaled sith'makar stopped by, in a table near the man with parchment on the table, as she wrote out a report on what happened, occasionally stopping to read a book opened up nearby. Though she looked up, first to the staff that made itself known, and then looking around till she saw Cryo and her daughter. She offered a wave, and the pen she had was set down.

Cesran looks up and blinks a bit as it's probably been a moment since he actually did blink. He gives a polite but friendly smile, "Hello Cryosanthia and Lily it's nice to see you two again. Peace upon your nest." He says in draconic that has the slight hint of a Jade Island accent in it. He switches over to common, "Here let me clean up a bit, sorry I'm just working on a project." He works quickly but carefully to gather up the books and papers although he leaves the maps out, they appear to be maps of the sewers marked with the stamp of the adventurer's guild.

Cesran pauses for thought for a moment to think, "Nothing immediately comes to mind. The Saguhain really don't like outsiders. I'd be interested in what you find about it. I'm sure there must be someone who was either crazy enough, brave enough or just plain lucky enough to learn more about the society ritual of the Saguhain and survive. I just know cursory things about them, nothing as in depth as their funeral rituals."

Lily waves to Seyardu, "Peasss." She crouches over Cesran's things, examing the maps. She taps one, "Ssassa hasss."

Cryosanthia looks around. She spots Seyardu and tailthumps automatically, then stands a little taller. "Seyardu, peace on your Nest. This one has been looking for you, and answers."

She looks around for something to sit on, a bench preferably, and finds a chair. This is swept over expertly with her tail and she turns it around to lean against the back. "I had that thought, and to read through some of the old explorer logs. They go back a long time. I found a few with combats, but nothing that had details beyond, well violent encounters."

She gazes off into space, "Found one about a bunch of adventurers helping one Kobold take over a tribe by killing the chieftan. That was mis-filed."

Her gaze returns, and she waves for Seyardu to come over, "have you gotten out to Mictlan? I ... haven't."

Seyardu returned the thump to the floor, a bit subdued so as not to bother Cesran as he worked on his papers. "Peace on your nests, Cryosanthia and Lily, I just heard that you have been looking, and I thank you. I have been looking myself, though I came here to prepare a report on what happened at the shipyard. Need to make sure fishermen are capable moving forward." She explained as she left her seat, one of the few sturdy stools left out for her kind, and carried it to the table with her things under an arm.

"Yes, it seems they keep to themselves. I have found little on the subject in what time I have had to do so." She continued to Cesran. "Peace on your nest as well."

Cesran nods to politely to Seyardu, "It's nice to meet you I am Cesran and this is Ral-sara, Peace on your nests." The staff bows it's head to Seyardu, "Peace on your nests." Cesran hmms, "Are you having some trouble with the Saguhain? That's the last thing that this city needs is to have another hostile force trying to take over. If I can be of any help please let me know, I'll do what I can to assist, although helping directly might not be as easy as I'd like. I can provide information, if I don't know it I'm pretty sure I can find someone who does or a book that has it." He chuckles at the mention of the report, "Sounds like an interesting read. Speaking of interesting reads have either of you heard of Oltarian the Book Seller?"

"No invasion, trouble that found the fisherment. This one will let Seyardu explain, she witnessed. I wasn't present." Cryo explains, nodding as the silverscale approaches and sits. She returns her focus to Cesran, gazing down her long snout at him with her sapphire eyes, "I don't know Oltarian, is he new to Alexandria?"

"Our curiosity is more than academic." The whitescale adds, "We have a body we don't know what to do with."

The silver sith'makar blinked, looked to the staff, and bowed her head. "Peace on your nest as well, Ral-sara. Yes, it was only one, it seemed to have ended up in the nets, and hold of one of the fishing boats. I was going out to do some fishing, and when they came in to port, it attacked one of the crew from the hold, dragged them in. My friend Aryia was there, jumped in after them. They dispatched them quickly, there was little choice since it nearly killed one of the crew by the time we got there."

"The body is at the Vardaman temple, being kept by some of their clerics. I am trying to figure out what to do, so I take as little of their time and energy as necessary."

Cesran ahs, 'Well that's good." He leans back in his chair a bit, I was worried for a moment." He listens to the silver sith'makar explain the situation. "Honestly and I mean no disrespect to the dead. I'd buy passage on a boat that's going out to sea, about half way through the voyage I'd dump the body overboard and be done with it. From what I can remember reading the Saguhain are one of the most vicious and blood thirsty of races, they will attack anyone for coming into what they view as their waters. How many limbs did it have?"

He asks curiously before replying about Oltarian, "Oh no, he's not from the city and he's old or at least the tale of him and his family is. Oltarian and his family collect books, not just any books, but rare books. He just doesn't keep them in a library all locked away though, he travels the world buy, selling and trading rare books. It's not something that interests most people a Llyranesi, who travels and sells books, but to those in the know he's a very important person. And I think I have found something to trade him, I just have to get it. It's a very rare first edition book of love poems that Serriel wrote to Vardama. It's why I was in the temple in the first place when the demons and devils attacked. It's was supposed to be in the temple and I was inquiring as to how to acquire it from them. Unfortunately it's been stolen."

"He. He had four." Cryosanthia says, exhaling slowly, her head angled with curiousity "He looked very fearsome. Do... we seem like that to softskins?"

And then... poems? She blinks, blinks again. "The Goddesses write poetry to each other? Well... I guess that makes sense. Especially for them. Even if it's a very weird relationship and she's not really a goddess... umm..."

The whitescale shakes her head, "and it's stolen, and burial at sea, and yes."

Lily wanders over to Cryo, reaches into her haversack and takes a out a box. She thumps down on the table, opens it, and starts brining out mechano pieces to work on ... something.

"They had four arms, yes, and a spear made of coral and other materials." She agreed, sighing and setting down her pile of papers and book so her hands were free. "But they are still kin, of a sort. And I would be a poor cleric if I did not do what I can, even after their death. I know that I would not wish to perish away from my kin, and be disposed of unceremoniously. It would not feel right. Do people travel around like that to gather books? Perhaps they have some Aryia would like, I try to find those I can on handspeech, where I can. Writings are fairly limited, since the symbols take up so much parchment."

Cesran winces a bit, "Well that might or might not be bad. The reason I was worried is that the Saguhain have this weird quirk that occasionally they get beneficial mutations. Most of the time it comes in the form of an extra set of arms. The Saguhain welcome these mutations and as a result it can be easier to move up in the meritocracy. However he could have been an outcast so we might not have anything to worry about. If you see the fishermen again you should tell them to be cautious and if they see more of the Saguhain they should report it to the guards."

Cesran shakes his head, "To buy, trade and sell just books no I think he's the only one, or at least the most famous because that's all he sells. It's all his father sold and his father and so on." He ohs, "If you are interested in learning handspeech, go to the city library, they occasionally have classes on different languages. I've signed up for just about every one."

Cryosanthia chuckles, grinning with her nose dipped, obscuring her sharp teeth from direct view, "Somehow, I imagine you would."

"The people burn our dead. To return them to the flame. It's also why the Death Singing Dragon's scales are grey. In Am'shere, it was practical to prevent predators. After the Charn incursions, to stop them turning them into monstrosities."

Lily looks up from her assembly, staring. Cryo looks at her, "This one won't detail. When you're older."

"Fire, obviously, wouldn't be appropriate for them. Little burns underwater." She raises her head a little, "I wasn't aware of the mutations. Thanks. Perhaps the coral clothing means something, Seyardu."

She tilts her head, "You know, now Merek would be offering to transport him to the plane of water, or resurrect him. Or... teleport him out to sea. This one is teasing! Not asking."

"Merek, I think I met them before, but I do no think that is a good idea. They were hostile, and materials to do so could be used on others. I would not put others at risk of harm due to that. I still have the trident with the body, so it may need further investigation." She said, looking at some of the notes, and between everyone gathered. "I let the guards near the docks know when I was able, and I was here to write a report for the adventurer's guild, so they are aware of the risks. They seem to have a lot of resources, for getting messages out to people. Though if I have free time, I should look into those classes as well. Language is an important part of helping as many people as possible."

Cesran waves his fingers and casts a simple spell of prestidigitation to create some colored lights that float near Lily. He has them change into simple animal shapes of light and color to entertain as he lists to the others, "Well I do go around resurrecting people, unless the need is great. Sometimes the simplest ways are the best, I could do a lot of things, but I still think maybe not dumbing him overboard, but finding a nice spot for a burial at sea would be the most appropriate. Yes the adventurer's guild is quite good at getting the word out, you might have to pay them a bit, but they do make sure that jobs get done."

Lily is easily distracted, and watches the lights. Cryo reaches out and covers her ears, "This one had the terrible thought of wrapping him up in bait so sharks will devour him. They have a great shark empathy. Do they eat their weak? Do they eat their strong?"

That might explain a few things, "The people... have canibalized. It drive us insane, and violent. It's one of the reasons my cihuaa left me."

The whitescale waves her hands suddenly, also releasing Lily who has a frown and a glare now, "He wasn't, he didn't, I didn't. He was confused, thought everything he at was... it's complex and not important. He's fine now."

Her tail scrapes slowly against the floor, scales making quiet scratching noises, "It does cause mutations and us to grow stronger... perhaps the boat trip and burial at sea is the best idea."

Seyardu looked confused, or curious as the other sith'makar spoke, but it passed quickly, before Lily saw. "I am sure there is a story to that, but I would not ask it to be shared. What Cryosanthia says is true, and fire is not something for beneath the waves. Perhaps a trip out to do so is the necessary thing. I just do not know what to do. I have seen much, but never one of their kind. It is times like this when I worry about my own lacking knowledge."

Cesran hmmms, "Seems a little disrespectful. I don't know if they eat their own, but from the pictures I've seen they look like they could eat just about anything if they wanted to. Perhaps they do, but I wouldn't want to get close enough to them to hand over a body." He yawns suddenly looks out the window, "Oh when did it get so late. I'm afraid I have to be going." He starts to pack up his books and papers into his backpack, "Cryosanthia and Lily it was good to see you both again. Seyardu it was nice to meet you, if I can help let me know and I'll do my best to, even if it's just providing information." He picks up the maps to return them before giving a final wave to the trio, "It was good seeing you." Ral-sara says as she vanishes only to appear in Cesran's hand as he heads out.

"Well, seems like there isn't much knowledge to be had on the subject." Cryosanthia observes, nodding at Seyardu's confused look, then discretion. "A boat trip does seem best."

"Peace on your nest, Cesran and Ral-sara, thank you for the thoughts and observations, and the warning. We will heed it." The whitescale waves, watching as the staff vanishes and reappears, and the mage heading out.

She looks over at the silverscale. "The Vardamites might have a boat. Or, heh," she chuckles, "we could hire a fishing one, if you wanted to spend the whole day and night and another day or two doing that after before coming back. They'd be happy to get paid to take something out to sea."

"It was good to meet you both as well, Cesran, Ral-sara. I appreciate the offers and will keep them in mind. peace on your nests." Seyardu said herself, giving them a wave before they left.

"While I would like to go out to sea most likely, spending several days on such an endeavor would not feel right. I do not like taking too much time off all at once. But if the Vardamites have one, that would be ideal."

The sith'makar glanced to the open box, smiling to the child. "What are you working on, little fang? It has many parts to it, by the looks of it." <draconic>

"It's a Spider Crab. It will climb walls and walk underwater." Lily says, holding up an octangonal box. It resembles a crab if one was squared off and made with only a few polygons. Also the Artifice Society's giant spider building. There are holes in the sides where legs might go, and she holds up one such assembly. <draconic>

Dropping it in place, she demonstrates it moving back and forth. "Not done yet.."

Cryosanthia watches, having overlooked this construction. "That's an erector set, 'a thousand and one pieces for a thousand and one nights of fun', mixed with a mechano set, 'definitely not made by Sith'makar slaves in Charn', and several other accessory packs. We got them in Goblintown."

"It's very good Lily."

"Thankahss."

About this time, a figure shrouded in a sand colored hooded cloak slips in, a mix of Veyshanti and Tsuran clothing underpinning the suit of banded mail she is clad in.

A hand clad in an open finger glove lifts to draw the scarf from the lower half of Brae's face, once the door's closed behind her, "'ey luvs, how is?"

She then steps on over to the draconians with a warm smile, but sinks to a knee with her arms wide with a look to Lily, "C'mere, you!" she calls playfully.

"A spider crab? That sounds interesting. and it works underwater too!" The sith'makar chuckled. "I know little about such contraptions, but I am sure I would have enjoyed learning about them."

She turned to the door, smiled, tail hitting the floor with a louder thump now that the studious spellcaster was gone. "Ah, peace on your nest, Braelnoir! I know not what brings you here, but it is good to see you."

"Tia Brayss!" Lily squeals, leaping off the table, flying in a high arc that demands she be caught, flinging herself into the kneeling Acanian's arms.

Cryosanthia smiles, watching, then moves and starts packing up her youngling's construction into its storage box. "Peace sister." She relaxes, all except her shoulders, her scents turning plesant.

"Yesss." Lily says, looking over her shoulder at Seyardu, "It will. If the small mammals don't drown." <draconic>

The whitescale shakes her head slightly, "We won't be trapping and drowning mice. It's cruel. Make it waterproof and use a fish. It might like walking about on land."

Lily stares at her Ssassa as if that's the craziest idea ever, and the best one.

"She's meeting me. We... have an exchange." Cryo says.

Braelnoir grins, eyes atwinkle to the Silver Sith and she nods, "Good t'seeya, Seya, just swinging by fer a couple, lookin' fer trouble, ya know."

The pitter patter of little LIly turns her back toward the incoming parabolic arc and she shifts positions to catch the little kobold with a big hug and nuzzle, "Yer gettin big, luv!" she croons fondly, and rises to her feet, carrying her niece over to Seyardu and her Ssassa. She, in turn, gets a little peck, "Missed you, sis." She gives the palescale's shoulders a glance, then, with a little shift of Lily, she shrugs a pack to slide down to the crook of her elbow.

"Well, if you are looking for trouble, then I can think of few places with more trouble that needs to be addressed than here. I will not pry into your dealings if you do not wish to share either." The sith'makar chuckled. "Though I agree, even if it is waterproof, maybe no small animals. There are many ways to make something hold water though, that work well. I came here to look more into some things from the other day, and it seems Cryosanthia had a similar idea."

"You're welcome to come to my laaair." Cryosanthia says, teasingly and drawing out the words, her tail bopping from side to side behind her. "We can pull on my wings again and see if they'll come the rest of the way out already."

She continues packing, every piece back in the case. She leans close to the table, examining. Some of those nuts and bolts are very small. She follows this with a piece of paper, scraping the surface. Satisfied, she closes it up, and slips it back into her haversack.

"Here's the registry." A clerk returns, placing it beside her.

That goes in the haversack as well. "Finally." Out of her haversack comes a different box, and out that, a small wooden mask with a bunch of holes in it.

"Yes. Researching funeral rites for a scale-cousin. Best we got was a suggestion from Cesran. No one seems to know and it's dangerous to find out."

Braelnoir's grin returns, "Well, wouldn't be any fun, otherwise!" she retorts with a wink. Then again, she normally wears Korite branding, soo...

She gives Lily another little nuzzle, "Next time we see each other, Tia might have a trick ta show you." she says.

There's another look to Seyardu, "Well, it's a bit of a story, luv. Anyway, whatcha lookin into?"

Then Cryo invokes the Lair, "Might just swing by shortly if ya want... they still bein' stubborn, huh?" Then, the funerary stuff is mentioned and she ahs with a nod, "Right, yeah... imagined that'd be something ya'd both look into. My best guess, mebbe ask Irshya, she's the most ocean savvy person I know."

Seyardu looked confused again. "Your wings? Is that what has been causing you back pain, Cryosanthia? I do know a few basics of healing magic." The sith'makar asked. "But yes, I was looking into funeral rites for sahuagin, to see if I could find any. Seems most interactions with them are negative, including ours, so not many have writings on their customs. If I see this Irshya, I will ask them if they know though."

"This one hasn't seen her in a while, but will look for her." Cryosanthia says, then nods to Seyardu. She reaches up besides her yes, as if she's removing glasses, and then pulls her hands away with a wooden mask held in them. A larger version of the one on the table.

Her form shimmers, and two large spars appear from her back, bound up in cloth and folded over. They stretch almost as high as the ceiling. She was disguised as herself, without wings. Partial wings. "Yes. This one appreciates the offer, but the healing only soothes it for a little, then the pain returns. It's something magic related, my magic cycles like the moon now. It will sort itself out sooner or later."

The whitescale waves at her youngling, "Lily, come here, put your mask on. You're going to go with Tia Braelnoir to the Chapterhouse, to Tia Farans, then Mac-Bee will come get you and bring you to the lair. Okay? Brae, Faran, Mac-Bee, no one else. Now... a Xian girl, your size, like a young version of the clerk."

Lily listens, and nods, then puts on her little mask. What follows are several horrifically creative versions of a human face. Proportions all over the place, a nose as long as her snout, eyes too far to the sides, a mouth like a goblin's. "No, shorter, this flatter, not so thick," and a bunch of other corrections by her Ssassa. Humaning is hard.

Finally, she looks like a very young human girl. "Tail too. Humans don't have tails. Most." Cryo glances up at Braelnoir with a grin. "Now, who are you seeing?"

"Tia Braysss. Tia Farransss. Maccabeess!" Lily peeps.

"Sometimes crashes at the Fernwood." Brae starts, then, "She's one of the co-owners of the Tarrace. Little blue goblin, Priestess of Rada, sweetheart, really."

She sets Lily down to let her get ready to go, and, while that's about, she changes the trim of her attire and alters the colors to a mix of blue and white, Myrrish raiment. The observations about tails outs a winsome look in her eye but she shrugs, "Easy come, easy go. Ya ready, squirt?"

Seyardu looked up, squinting even more as the wings showed up. "I understand, I am sorry I cannot offer a more lasting solution myself. I have never encountered a sith'makar dealing with something like that, you had the right of it." She spoke up, looking more than a bit sad but the strange mask made her chuckle slightly.

"I stop there from time to time, so if I see them around, I will stop to speak. Do you know what they look like aside from color? I apologize, but that does not really help me if I am looking out for them."

"Maybe more turquise or green in that?" Cryo suggests, "White and blues are what I usually pick."

The whitescale puts her mask on, and concentrates. Her scales turn black, completely, as dark as obsidian and shiny as ink. Her wings vanish. Her horns curve down low, tips facing forward. Her snout changes, nostrils further back, almost like a sith's skull with open channels along the top. Her clothes become scale-tight, her build a little leaner and lighter seeming, and she was lithe to start with. Their colour switches from her whites to a velvet black with dark purple highlights.

She's a blackscale in a catsuit, starved and deadly, half-way to being undead and all sorts of bad attitude. "Irshya has a shark's tail, she also wears Rada's symbol a lot. The sharks tail is the easiest tell though."

She looks nothing like Cryo but still sounds like her, until the end of the sentence where that changes too. She faces Seyardu, her face unsettlingly like a mini-black dragons. She hisses, "A legacy of my Mistake, this one is sure. Mikilos assures me it's natural, if very unusual."

She waves between herself, Lily and Braelnoir, adding an explanation of sorts, "We're playing a game. I can't really explain. Aryia can, she figured it out."

Braelnoir blinks, then remembers some folk back in the Stride with problems like that. Hmmm, "Triang'lar bump on'r back. Smiles with rows o'teeth." She leans to the side a bit and holds her palm to a lower heigh than normal for her size, "'bout yay high. Curly hair... oh, yeah, and th'tail."

Cryo's suggestion warrants a look down at herself and, after a moment's thought, her threads shift more toward the greenish spectrum. She reaches out and pokes Cryo's side, "Ya coulda caught some o'that mojo from me'r Kae, too. One night, we get more time, mebbe we can show you what I looked like a while back."

Seyardu blinked again. her eyes could get even narrower when she tried to make out details. "You can look like that, and even I can notice that change in color. That seems useful. A shark's tail on a goblin with sharp teeth, I will remember that." She noted, turning back to Braelnoir. "It would be interesting to see what you looked like before."

A pause, and for just a moment, a thought passed the silver sith'makars, mind, and she seemed to waver in her usual neutral expression. "Apologies again Braelnoir, for how I acted the other day."

"Posssibly." Cryo's side isn't quite where it seems to be. She's still solid. "I think it would have shown up sooner, in the Tower. This one was there a long time."

She sighs deeply, "A long time. The Mistake was very ... interested in her own way, in my appearance. All those surgeries, taking things, moving things. Pretty sure it's her doing, somehow."

She snorts suddenly, "Scales, she could be dreaming still, less aggressively. Who knows."

That black lizard skull turns towards Seyardu again, she grins. Even her teeth are black, "Braelnoir was awesome, so lovely, but this one must go now. "

She crouches down, hugs the little xian-disguised Kobold, "See you soon, be safe."

Standing, she moves towards the exit like an eel, oozing and swaying, "Give it at least five minutes. Peace on your nests." The blackness leaves, tail pulling the door like a tentacle behind her.

Braelnoir looks a little puzzled, "Fer what?" she wonders of Seyardu, then waves it off, "Eh, it weren't no big deal, luv. We're good." She smiles to Dark Cryo as she makes to head out, "Seeya soon, sis. Watch yer tail, now."

Then, with a hand gently settled on Lily's head, she looks to Seyardu, "We got lotsa stories, ya probly figgered. Some lots wierder than others."

"Peace on your nest, Cryosanthia." She said and waved to the disguised sith'makar as they slunk out of the building, and she turned back to focus on the two still at the table. "I am sure that you have many stories, no doubt. My apologies were for acting the way I did the other day. The more time I spend here, the more I learn, the more I realize I did not know about how things can work. Things accepted as the truth."

Braelnoir chuckles a little and shakes her head, "Oh, that." She smiles anew, "That's about typical fer folk coming inta things around here." She shrugs a little and rubs Lily's head to some evident delight, then, "It's fair ta wonder if we're spinnin' moonbeams, 'specially when things get really wierd. We ain't, but you ain't known us long enough t'know that fer sure."

"It is not even that. I just feel as if I can relax more, here. I am able to help so many people in the temple of Althea, and no one thinks anything of it." She grinned.

"It is talk for another time though, perhaps when Lily is not around. But the essential point being, there are many less unecessary expectations of me, here. Even if I am being somewhat selfish."

Braelnoir gives that a little thought, "Well, helpin' folk's a good thing." she notes, then looks down to her niece as Seyardu mentions her, who seems expectant, and likely unlikely to sit still much longer. She smiles, then looks to Seyardu again and, "It's natural ta think o'yerself, luv. Natural as breathin', ain't nothin abberant, there. I see it like this... Ya know why most folk unstring their bows till they plan ta use'm?"

She gives that barely more than a second, then, "See lookin ta yerself the same way. Anywho, it is getting on, though, an' it's a little hike t'where we gotta go."

The Korite crouches down to collect the little one and anything else that's coming with them and rises to her feet, "Have a good night, luv, we'll catch up again soon!"

"Yes, it is more than a bit late, I did not intend to spend so much time here. And I still need to get that report written up. I do not want people getting injured for my sake." Seyardu nodded. "There is helping folk, and there is, other things. But again, another time. I get what you mean, a bow is strung when it needs to be used, to prevent damage from unecessary tension."

"She waved them off, offering a pat on the head to the disguised Kobold. "You both have a good night as well, and peace on your nests. I am sure we will meet again another time."

[Public] Braelnoir plays the Godfather theme.
Cryosanthia pages: Death jewelry. Made of stones to weigh the body down. His life story, names and such carved on them. Maybe a last meal, of a stone fish shoved down his throat to his belly.
Cesran pages: Looking them over I was tempted to go with they just eat the weak or they are just eaten, but it did saw some could live for centuries, would be interested to explore an underwater ancient Saguhian crypt.
