Normal Day pt 4

Somewhere out here, there's a treasure!

That's what you were told by the Satyr who offered it to you if you could beat him in a drinking contest... which you did. Quite handily, actually, with the constitution of a Khazadi to help to boot.

You've found signs of battle here beyhond the gate and the stars and forest are /definitely/ not local to Alexandria. You're somewhere else. Soemwhere else entirely.

...followign tracks. At least there's no more traps, right?

Sarcis lets out a half-giggle, she was remembering the things she wrote on the Satyr's drunkfase. A wide smile and she shakes her head as she'll start trying to help guide the group off in the right direction-ish, keeping her eyes open for any traps that may be laying on their path. It really wouldn't do to walk right into one.

Grush is very uneasy, trying not to let the alien sky and its wrongness press down on her. Looking around anxiously and gripping her weapon tightly, she follows Sarcis closely.

It's starting to be a while from when she last drank, which really isn't that long and the half-elven Ranger Valkea is starting to border on being hung over by now. Still, she keeps her crossbow loaded and ready while glazed and bloodshot blue eyes try and watch for any perils the group might face. Aside from herself, even sober, her skills have not been exactly evident.

Shara looks to Valkea and her glassy eyed look. "If you're going to shoot at an enemy, Valkea....aim for the center one..."

"Oi! Where in the Mountain're we now?" Ilmig understands travelling underground to get somewhere else, but this looks a bit too much somwhere else.

Grush says, "I have no idea but it sure as hell ain't Kansas""

It isn't too much longer before you find something interesting. Why, it's actually Sarcis and Shara that notice it first. The tracks that Valkea has lead you along with her EXPERT DRUNKEN TRACKING skills (or expert hung over skills), finds a rather large ring of trees. What makes them stand out is that they are, in fact, actually a /perfect/ circle of trees spaced at regular intervals.

"What I wanna do is get the sods in a line and shoot through all a them at once!" Valkea states, probably understimating the penetration on even her oversized heavy crossbow. "Prolly just gone extra planar for sumfin." she guesses about where they actually are.

The circle of trees the group finds hers a hmmm as the inebriaated ranger counts the spacing. "Well I'd guess this place is important to someone." she adds in that curious guessing tone.

"That.....isn't conspicuous....at all." Shara says at the perfect circle of trees...... "must be."

Grush grips her hammer tighter "This is bad, we shouldn't be here..." She glances around jumpilly, hanging back from the ring

The circle of trees the group finds hers a hmmm as the inebriaated ranger counts the spacing. "Well I'd guess this place is important to someone." she adds in that curious guessing tone.

"That.....isn't conspicuous....at all." Shara says at the perfect circle of trees...... "must be."

Sarcis lets out a laugh at hearing the comments about this circle. "Oh please. It's just a ring of trees. Like... What? You think we're going to upset a God? Oh-h-h-h no-o-o-o." She starts to move out into the center of the ring. I mean... she /is/ drunk after all.

Grush grabs Sarcis arm, stopping her gently but firmly, Her expression now openly fearful "Sarcis, please... Can't you feel it? Theres something wrong with this place"

Valkea heeds the sense of dread certain others might be experiencing and starts cradling her own weapon to more readily be able to aim down the crossbow if need be.

"If not a god or anything, at least tick off whomever planted them." Valkea points out quietly while swivellig her head so the blonde half-sil can try and make sure nothing comes out of the trees to get the jump on any of the party.

Sarcis tries to shake the grasp off, looking at Grush with a laugh, "Oh come off it! It's just a ring of trees!" She rolls her eyes, gesturing toward it, "It happens in nature. They're just /trees/."

"Theres nothing Natural here, look at the stars, feel the air" Grush hisses pleadingly

Shara simply stares at Grush. "You were ready to hammer the crap out of a satyr that looked like a demon to you. NOW you're scared because the area 'doesn't feel right'?" She just....shakes her head....

Grush shoots a glare at Shara "Didn't your parents tell you about faries?"

...the trees just sorta hang there. The glade looks relatively peaceful, though, when you look between them!

No horrible monsters are leaping out to devour your souls.

The ranger, Valkea lets the two argue on their own for now while she slowly checks out the tree lines. So far nothing. "Well we can move on. Or we can check if that treasure is here. And if we should even take it. Who knows what kind of hornets nest that could stir up." she drunkenly points out, slurrig her words and looking around with squinted blue eyes.

She shakes the hold from Grush, the slender Oruch shaking her head with another roll of her eyes. She's with Shara, this is silly. She steps out into the circle if no one else stops her. Walking backward into it as she says in a teasing tone to the other Oruch, "Oooo, look at meeee, in the circle. Oh noooo."

...nothing happens! Not immediately. Sseems you can, at least, step into the circle of trees safely.

Ilmig has disconnected.

Grush bites her fist, doing an anxious little dance as Sarcis moves past the treeline. After a few seconds she rushes to Sarcis side "okay, you were right and I was stupid, now lets get out of here"

"You know maybe when we find stuff of interest around here, we should send the goblins to poke around instead." Valkea ponders and looks around for the little buggers, they could have easily nicked off the moment everyone had their backs turned. Whether they'd even want to is a different matter.

Shrugging shoulders, the tanger just looks about again for more signs of a trail to follow in the pursuit of treasure, sobering up, and getting out of this green space.

"..hey!"

The two goblins are /still/ here. "WE're right here, you know!"

Sarcis lets out a laugh and gestures at the goblins, then she beckons at them, "C'mon, c'mon, we still have to find this damn treasure." She giggles and grins wider, looking about now that she stands within the circle.

While it looks like being in the center of the ring is relatively safe, Valkea hmms and pads over towards the center. "Well I'd guess there's something buried down under here. Could be treasure, could be a body being buried." she points out witha goofy grin and a point of her crossbow's loaded bolt at a patch of disturbed ground just in front of her.

Shara just....stares at Grush. "And a Satyr's not a fae?" She then shakes her head and stays with Sarcis.

"I said Faries, I don't know what a fae is" Grush looks confused "You know, like, wild spirits"

Granit keeps quiet, for the moment, leaning on his polearm. He tries to look like he knows what he's doing, but he fails.

Grush moves over to Valkeas side, looking down at the patch of dirt "we're all going to die" Grush sighs under her breath, swinging her pack off her back and grabbing the folding shovel strapped to its side

"People keep saying that Grush. Things keep trying. Have they been right yet?" The ranger smirks up at the taller Oruch getting the shovel out. "Some say Fae and Fairy are interchangeable. There may be a difference, I dunno. I'm not one a them scholarly types unless it involves knowing what might be in a dungeon or underground kinda place."

Sarcis follows Valkea though, having seen the same thing.

Grush sighs at the many inaccuracies of her childhood education "Really?.. Now I feel like I should have killed that Satyr afterall" she shrugs and starts digging

"We can dig!"

The goblins chirp up to try to let folks know that, well, they're USEFUL!

REALLY!

PLEASE DON'T MURDER US./

Granit props up his guisarme, and starts digging as well. He looks over at the goblins. "Well? Dig. Show us."

Shara says, "I don't think we're gonna murder you, but we'd like it if you helped us....""

Valkea grins and puts fingers to her lips so she can whistle and wave the goblins to come and help digging. "I've got a Goblin Army Knife in my pack, you can be extra useful with that. Just make sure i get it back when we're all well away from here." she says. the whistle does take a few goes before she can make some sound that isn't a phbbbt.

Grinning widely, the goblins take the knife from Valkea and then draw their own. But hey... Spare!

They immediately start spading away at the earth with them.

... they are small. This may take a while.

Granit keeps digging -- after all, they're small.

Grush also continues digging

Shara stays back....prolly hidden near a tree and keeps watch.

The good thing is, Valkea doesn't have to help dig now. so she can go back to watching out and making sure there's no surprises again. That part seems to work fine even for the drunken half-sil. It's what happens after that hasn't been that kind. But she still seems optimistic, even through the haze of coming down from all that drinking.

...thunk!

It isn't too long before the spades hit something hard.

Thunk thunk! Sounds metalish!

Granit starts poking experimentally with the butt of his polearm. "Well..." he says, a little carelessly. "...it's something."

Shara says, "Go ahead and pull it up, Granit." She says still looking out for trouble."

A closer look immediately reveals something shiny.

"Ooooh," says the goblins.

Because, y'see, once you start to clear away the dirt and grime, it would appear that it is gold. DEfinitely somethign gold.

Once the thing is pulled up and out of the ground, Valkea at least has the sense to wave the goblins behind her. "You might wanna let us up and make sure it ain't gonna explode. Or release a horrid monster. So we can you know, not get you murdered." The ranger says while starting to act a bit more serious. Weapon at the ready again.

"...that sounds like a great idea," agree the goblins. And they very, very eagerly abck off.

Shara draws back on her bow. "all right. everyone get ready...."

Granit works it free with the end of the pole, then carefully reaches down and lifts it up into the light.

Grush helps Granit pull the 'thing' up and out of the hole before sitting down and grabbing a drink of water

Once the goblins are back out of her line of fire, Valkea positioins herself so she has a clear shot at the thing being dug and then pulled up out of the ground. The glint of gold earning an arched eyebrow. "Okay, so what do we have here?" she asks and swivels her head to look at the others before further looking around once more.

Slowly, the object is raised out of the hole.

It appears to be very heavy, so this is not easy! It's a five foot golden statue of some kiind, that much becomes obvious before lo9ng.

It's big. And heavy. Becasue gold is heavy, y'see.

Granit grunts, and strains. "This is..." He shifts, trying mostly not to get crushed. "...solid..."

Sarcis pants, standing near the top of the hole and aiming down while she stands next to Shara. All that digging really did work up a bit of a sweat, and really did do a lot to kill her buzz... ahh man.

Shara just....watches. With her bow drawn...

"Part of me is kind of wishing teh thing was hollow. Another wants it to be solid so it's got nothing nasty in it." Valkea says as the others work at getting the statue up and out of the ground. "No hinges or latches?" she asks the others while they catch their breath. Good thing she avoided helping with the lift, if it's that big and solid, the half-elf would never have been able to move it.

Grush gets down into the hole and wedges her grip underneath the statue, bracing her back against the dirt she heaves along with Granit, slowly shifting the gaudy piece. She's drenched in sweat with bits of dirt stuck all over her clothes and skin. She really wishes shed joined in teh drinking earlier

Grush lets out a strained groan as she struggles not to drop the thing

It's hard to make out, but when Granit speaks up, the rest of the advernturers can eventually begin to see several silvery threads attafched to the bottom of the statue in the hole, slowly pulling taut.

This could be a problem.

"Oh no," chime in the goblins.

They back up. Fast.

Shara says, "Out of the hole.......or cut the strings..."

Sarcis sighs and says in a rather amused tone, "Could be spiders."

Granit says, voice taut. "Just cut the strings. I can't let go of the damned statue."

"Move it then." Valkea calls out to those doing the lifting. "Glad I ain't making you guys help them now." she states with a grin to the p[air of goblin sidekicks the party has picked up. "Okay. gimme a sec and I'll cut it. The crossbow is set down and it's one of Valkea's knives that get drawn. Which is then used to check and look over the threads. And if safe cut them. Traps is traps.

GAME: Valkea rolls disable device-2: (2)+3+-2: 3

With a knife in hand, the strings are followed down into the hole in the off chance that she might find something at the end, hopefully a trap she can fail to disarm again. At least there hasn't been any spikes or explosions. Probably another deeper hole to fall down though. Another device not disarmed by Valkea.

Naturally, the ground beneath Valkea caves in after a moment, leaving her falling down deeper into some sort of pit within a pit.

Great.

GAME: Shara casts Feather Fall. Caster Level: 3 DC: 14

...well, disaster averted then! After Valkea falls, Grush and Granit are saved by the feather fall spell, as is the statue!

The good news is that they're now on what the threads were connected to. The ground is COVERED in these threads, paked together down here...

...wait. No. That's not threads.

That's more like... hair.

Lots of hairs, attached to /something/. And they're standing on it.

Granit lands nicely, which is good, because he really wasn't going to before. Also, he holds onto the statue, which given where they landed, is probably a good thing. "Oh no."

Shara is glad she learned feather fall now. Especially after she whistles that little fluttery tune. She's not talking though. to do so would break the spell. Nope.....

Grush has her eyes squeezed tight, opening them after she isnt immediatly crushed under the stupid statue to find herself floating down safely. She hops off the statue and lands, smiling and about to shout her thanks to Shara, then she notices all the hair and her face falls

Deja Vu in action. Valkea's landing isn't exactly pleasant and she's hitting the ground feet first, backside second after a wobbly and slowed descent. While she looks around she hmms and pats the 'ground' then gets herself right back up on her feet. With her crossbow and her goblin army knife back topside with the goblins, the knife she had is switched for her long sword. "Sooo, um I dunno if out situation has improved or not." she states and pinches the bridge of her nose in hungover fashion.

Granit steps as daintly as possible in the hairs. Elf. Hangover. Hair. Giant hairs. He starts turning green, and remembers to put /down/ the statue first.

Sarcis sees them all fall and she frowns, and then snickers, "They're falling so /slow/!" Snicker-snicker. She lowers her bow for the moment but keeps it nocked as she looks down at the hairs... she thinks they're webbing personally, but that remains to be seen!

Shara says, "better to fall slowly than to get hurt on impact. Cuz that stop is what kills ya."

It's only a matter of time before it starts moving, of course. It's a hump. And that hump is slowly lifting up, pushing earth and dirt off its body.

The goblins squeal after seeing this, peeringh down from the edge of the pit, and break into a run.

Shara says, "welll....that's not good......." She says drawing an arrow..."

Sarcis looks around, "Quick, someone drop some rope down in the hole." The Oruch saw the movement and she heard the Goblins. Now is not the time to be laughing over the fact that a fuzzy hump is moving around! She draws the arrow back.

Moving hair. Under his feet. Granit's stomach starts heaving, and then he loses it all over the moving hump. Oh, that's going to be awesome.

The movement beneath Valkea's feat has her steadying her stance and keeping her longsword readied in a defensive poise. "I really hope this is something friendly. Or at least not hostile." she says worriedly. With Granit hurling, it takes some effort but at least the ranger keeps her stomach from emptying itself for now.

As the three in the pit are able to scramble out, the gold st atue is left behind for the moment> To be honest, now that you c an get a better look at it, it appears to be a statue of a squat, oruch-looking woman with a blade held over her head.

No, not Grush. It's a blade and she's way more squat than Grush is.

It's big, heavy, and looks like it is solid gold.

The good news is taht teh statue is moving up out of the pit! And the gorund is shifting as something begins to climb out of it. A great, white furred ogre, from the look of it. Great.

It has a large horn in the center of its skull. Yes.

Granit gets out of the pit, mouth still leaking unhappy fluids. That was nasty and /very/ un-elven. He leans on his polearm like an oversided cane. "Oh. No."

Once Valkea can get herself back on actual solid ground, she looks up at the Ogre looking thing and then back to the others. "I really think we might have been better off staing on it's head." she declares with a nervous and toothy grin.

Grush scampers up the statue and leaps up, dragging herself out of the hole and dashing over to her pack to grab her Hammer

GAME: Sarcis rolls Knowledge/Nature +3 -2: (10)+8+3+-2: 19

GAME: Granit rolls knowledge/nature: (3)+8: 11

Sarcis hiccups as she stares at the thing, backing up in a bit of a stumble away from the hole. As she regains her footing and turns she calls out, "It's a geyrger! Err... Fey Ogre!" She pulls back her bow a bit further and adds, "I dunno what else! YOU! YOU! HEY! WE WON THAT TREASURE FAIR IN A CONTESTING DRINK!"

Granit blinks, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. "HOW COULD YOU BREATHE?"

"...GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH," it says.

Very intelligently.

It holds one hand out beside it and out of swirling energy that forms there, a massive spiked club appears.

"GRARRRRRRRRRRRRGH," it yells louder.

"NO! WE WON IT! WE. DRINK MORE. THAN SATYR!" Sarcis yells back at it, taking her time to make sure that her words are more coherent this time.

"He's just too passed out to come out. Satyr fellow, has a really good if strong brew of his own!" Valkea calls out. "We aren't waiting for him and you will not stop us from claiming our treasure. If this isn't..." she points her sword at the golden oruch statue that is totally not Grush. "Then you will get us the treasure we actually won now. Or let us leave with this thing and you can go sleep more!" she calls out. Trying to sound as forceful as she can with the size difference. No small feat.

Granit backs up slowly, both hands on the polearm.

"GRAAAGGGHHHGGH!!!" It waves it's spiked club at you made of glowing, swirly energy as the adventurers yell about it. It looks confused for a moment. It's massive, singular eye beneath its horn focuses on Sarcis. Then Valkea. Then GRanit.

"RARRRGH!"

It waves the club some more.

Then it waves the club again.

"Rargh?"

"Rar rar... Raragh rar-ar?" Sarcis says, she figures it can't hurt to simply try speaking it's language back to him. Right? She of course still holds the bow with the nocked arrow, but she's no longer pulling the string taut - instead holding it slack.

"Or how about Tradespeak?" Sarcis asks it, "I don't know that one you're speaking!"

Shara facepalms at this. She can't believe it's working.......

Granit squints, and calls out: "Who tied the statue to your head?" He tries Tradespeak and Yrch-Speak, even if in his hangover, he's got a wicked accent to the Yrch.

It seems confused. Very. Slowly, it lowers its club and grabs at the statie to pull it closer. ?Grargh!?

Valkea keeps her own weapon lowered, even taking a moment to sheath the sword and pick up her crossbow again. At that size, it's hardly going to be a fair fight. "I'm guessing it was our drinking partner. Why? I dunno." she says and raises her eyebrows at the party and shrugs her shoulders. "But I think we're taking it's hair ornament. Like a favorite hair pin or barette."

Sarcis puts the arrow back in its quiver and nods her head, "GRARGH!" She says with a point at it and then back to them all. "Rargh rar-rar." She points at them all, "Rargh rarararar." And she points toward the way the goblins ran.

"Rargh raaaargh!" Sarcis points at the statue, "Rar-gah-ra-ra." She gestures toward themselves. Sage nod. She looks at them all, "I told her that we want the statue because we won it, and if she gives it to us, then we'll go."

Grush has partially disconnected.

Grush looks at Sarcis in amazement "You can understand it?"

Sarcis's head moves in a sort of yeah-no-maybe-yeah-circle-shake-nod.

Sarcis then holds up a finger, her nose twists as she goes to make her point. Then "Achoo." it's rather high-pitched and subdued, like one might expect of a gnome. "It's confused and expects us to be scared and wants us to leave. It think its her's, since she doesn't realize we won the drinking contest with the satyr. OH RIGHT!"

Sarcis turns back to the fey ogre, "Rar-guhhh ra-ra-ra Uuugh hrg rarargah!"

Granit steps forwards again, and leans there. He doesn't speak, mostly becaus he's a little lost. He throws up again to cover his confusion.

SLowly, it turns its very large head at Sarcis like a dog trying to understand what its hearing.

"GRARGH?"

The goblins are pointed ast. They give Sarcis a betrayed look!

It looks at the goblins. Then at them. Then at the goblins. Then at the adventurers.

It scratches the top of its head with its club.

"Gragh." It points at the sattue and tries to tug it back towrads it.

"GRAGH!" Then it points at the goblins.

GAME: Sarcis casts Tongues. Caster Level: 4 DC: 15

Grush is watching with fascination, leaning on her Hammer and trying to do her best to follow the conversation. And failing.

Sarcis gives a wave of her hands, a gesture and a few words and then clears her throat as she tries again hopefully in a language that the Ogre can understand, "Can you repeat that?"

Sarcis adds that it hopefully comes out as "Rar-ar-ar-UGH ARGH rar."

"RARGH!" It says. Again.

<<"Hello. I hope you are all well. You can not have the statue. It is my statue and I am sworn to protect it from all who would come to seek its power for their own ends. It is very dangerous and magical, infused with the powers of numerous Fey warriors. When properly invokved with the blood of warriors, it will come to life and slay all who oppose its masters.">>

"Well, we've still got the sacramental whiskey we were hired for. We're still getting paid." Valkea says, pinching the bridge of her nose once more as more and more alchohol and electrlytes work their way out of her system. "We take the statue, we're pretty much robbing it?" she says and looks back at the goblins. Then the statue as it's grabbed at by a very large hand. "Think we should call it quits on the statue." she makes sure the goblins can here her. In goblin speak, she explains. "We keep up with wanting the thing, we get splatted. You want that or not?"

Grush nods "That is fair, I mean, it doesn't seem like the satyr had much right to promise it to us, thats not its fault"

"RARRRRRGH," it repeats./

<<"Also, I am sleepy.">>

Granit considers. "Too bad the satyr and the ogre can't have a polite conversation about this."

Sarcis flails her hand at Valkea, "SHHHHH!" And then listens, and nods her head a few times. Sarcis strokes her chin and then holds up a finger, pauses, "Achoo..!" And then her nose wiggles and crinkles a few times. Another nod, "Raaargh! RAR AR AWR uGH GAAAH HArgH NAR RARARRGH harNG NnAhhrrg."

<<"I see, well, we were told by a Satyr that we could have the statue. You see, we are preparing for a war ahead, and the Satyr - who I believe is a type of fey - is on our side and wishes to use its power so as to defeat the evil that will soon befall us. I don't suppose that we could have it since our cause is pure and just in defense of the fey and all that is good in the world beyond?">>

"RARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!" It yells, pointing at Valkea.

<<"A satyr, you say? A SAYtyr say? Fascinating! But if there is war coming, it is between two sides of Fey. I ahve felt the drums of war in my sleep! Perhaps this SAY-tur say he is on your SAYD, but he may not be. Else, why would he send you to potentially battle me over an object that activates when bathed in blood? No, I believe you MAY have been duped. And intoxicated, I see. Tut. Drinking with a satyr is never a wise plan. It is only his power that has allowed you to find your way into the Feyrealm. We exist here on the border of feysides. The dark fey whose blood runs in your veins, child, and those of the lighter side, for whom the blood runs in the veins of that one. That you are both here is VERY interesting to me, buty I've no time for a pleasent conversation. Say, do you happen to ahve any tea?">>

Valkea slings her crossbow behind her back too. "Yeah, we'd really be stealing from it." the ranger surmises. "Hey, a little translation would be handy." she adds towards Sarcis while the woman seems to be able to converse with the Ogre. "Sounds like it can understand us fine though." she adds with a shrug of her shoulders.

Sarcis flails her hand off at Valkea, then herself, "Rarugh uRRAAAGH! Uhhn uhg! uuurrrRRR nrggh. Naaahhhrg. Huff uuuhn." She gestures her hands out and away, then toward the others, Shara, Grush, Granit, the Goblins even. Then she looks back at the party, "Anyone got any tea?" And then she hiccups.

<<"Well, you see, we were getting back the whiskey that the Satyr stole, he stole sacramental whiskey to be honest. And I mean, it makes sense that perhaps he was duping us when it comes to the statue, but at the same time - as you said we do travel with one that is righteous and good. I know I'm not the most upstanding of all people, but the statue is not for me. What if you leave it in her care. Oh! Hold on, I'll check.">>

"ARGH! RArarghh. RAARRTGH!" It waves its club. GEsticulates at Valkea again.

<<"Well, I have been at this for such a long time! If she swears an Oath to her Gods that she can ensure it will not be used for evil, she may take it.">>

"Probably have some in one of these pouches." Valkea says and starts going through the piuches she keeps her travelling supplies in. "What we might not have is enough if our friend here wants some." she says and rumages about. She finds some amongst her provisions and the means to start a camp fire. "We'd need a lot more tea for the amount of water it'd need." she says and finds a smaller pouch with the scent of the aformentioned wanted leaves, holding them out for Sarcis.

Sarcis clears her throat then, and then looks at Valkea, "Can you swear an Oath to your Gods that the statue won't be use for evil? If you do. We can totally have the statue." She nods her head and then pauses for a moment. Her brows furrow and she takes the leaves from Valkea and then adds them to a pot with water.

"Anyone got some fire?" Sarcis asks of the group, looking between them again with a frown.

As for the oath, Valkea gives it. "By the Green, I swear this statue will not get used for evil purposes. In fact, something this big should be used for educational purposes. If we knew where it came from and what it's for." she says and even takes a knee while doing the oath swearing.

Sarcis clears her throat, "Rar-arar-aghu NARRRGH hahr-ruh-ruh-hrrrnng." Translating what Valkea says, word for word.

It looks at Valkeea and then Sarcis. It holds its club out towards the former.

<<"Educational purpose? That's a strange word. That does not mean war, does it? I don't think so. Very well. Your oath is accepted. I can't be sure she said what she meant. Ask her to approach and say it again while touching the club.">>

"I dont know if I matters but I give my word as well" Grush chimes in, giving the Ogre a bow "I'm very sorry for standing on your head as well"

"HurrAARGH!" Sarcis says with a fling of her arms, then looks back toward Valkea again, "She says that your oath is accepted, but she can't be sure if you truly meant it. Can you please say it again while touching the club?"

<<"Educational purposes means nearly the opposite of war really. She's saying it belongs in a place for the purpose of understanding and knowledge, not for use." >>

The Ogre gets a nod and she walks to reach and place a hand on the massive weapon. ""By the Green, I swear this statue will not get used for evil purposes." she repeats. Though this time she avoids kneeling so she can be seen by the massive wielder while the half-elf speaks. "And if you know more about the statue, that will only make it easier to uphold this vow. Where it came from, what it is for. Is it magical or anything like that?"

Sarcis translates all of it, except for the last part, "Oh quite magical. Apparently you put some blood on it and it comes to life and slays your enemies - whoever they may be."

There's a brief flash of light.

And then the great furry single eyed ogre sinks back into the eath after a parting 'ROAR'.

<<"LEave the tea! And take it with you! TOODLES! I'm going to see about that nap now.">>

"RAAAARGH!" Sarcis calls out as it does, then looks back to them all, "She says to leave the tea and to take the statue, but it's going to take a nap."

<<"Good night, sleep well, sweet dreams.">>

"Maybe we should sell it to the guild when we get home. Last ditch security methods when we're already done and down." Valkea says and finds herself pondering the best ethical place to sell a blood fueled murder golem. It'll be a long trip. "We better get moving." she says and shrugs her shoulders.

Sarcis gives a frown to Valkea, a shake of her head, "No... I imagine it would be best not to do that. It's apparently a very powerful artifact, imbued with the power of many fey warriors and will slay all of the enemies of the one who awakens it."

Turning to Grush, Sarcis quirks her eyebrows, "Do you have any tea or maybe some wine? I could go for some wine."

"Well we gonna need to keep it somewhere. Unless we can safely release that power with no danger to anyone. But we can discuss that on the way back." Valkea says, leaving her stash of tea behind along with anyone else's. "At least keep it's abilities quiet for as long as possible." she adds and shrugs. A really long trip home.

The goblins are relieved. They still give Sarcis shady looks, though, because she's been talking to the weird furry monster.

Drawgging the statue back to the door is a long process and then you start on through it.

Finally, you're out of there. Hey, look! It's a Satyr! Right there on the other side.

He's so happy to see you. He's also holding a warhammer.

And he looks pretty sober.
