The meandering Kultari Road runs right past this small village. The village itself exists at a crossways, where Eldwyn Road and Kultari Road converge, before each wanders past and on its way. Logs surround the village Vadran in a carefully laid, though commoner's defense. During off times, children can be seen tumbling and balancing on the log surfaces, or chasing each other in games of tag. In look and form, Vadran could be any of the number of villages that dot the Alexandrian countryside.
Beyond the village is an expanse of farmland, country roads, and the occasional, wooded area. During the days, horses and mules can be seen, strapped to plows and other means of work and labor. During the weekends, the center of the village will be filled with social activity.

It's getting along towards the end of the day, traffic and commerce is slowing down as people seek out food and shelter and avoid the dangerous night roads. However there is still some commotion as near the stables a series of grunts, growls and yells can be heard as well as the angry sounds of a bull. Upon investigation is a huge armored Ork wreslting a massive dun colored bull. The pair locked up in the center of a clear space. "C'mon ya git, that all ya got?!" Baz growls as he starts to twist and bend the animal's head. For it's part the bull continually tries to gore him with it's massive horns. The sharp white and black weapons scraping off his armor. It even tries to lash out with a front hoof, only to find itself twisted further to the side by the Ork's bulging arms. Even though it may be more intelligent it's becoming clear the bull is niether stronger nor more angry then it's Ork opponent. ~CRANK-CRUNCH~ Comes the sudden noise as Baz smashes his head forward into the Bull's skull. Driving his armored helm down into the animal's twisted head.
Now, that sound would get the attention of anyone wandering down the road. That horrible CRUNCH and CRANK. Aerilaya is wearing her ancestral breastplate, and armed with her greatsword strapped to her back, right under the backpack that weighs down her back as well. Her long, braded hair taps at her side as she comes to a stop, the gold caps tapping on her armor as she looks at the farm where the noise came from. Hmming softly, she turns on her heel and makes for that farm, walking behind the barn and into the field where she sees the massive Ork wreslting a massive bull. She drops her backpack and calls out to the Ork, saying "Hey! You there! Is this your bull?!" She comes running up to them as they fight.
Duncan wanders his way out of the nearby village on the path. His eyes are half glazed over with the contended look of one who's just eaten their fill and more of one of their favorite foods. And his near-waddle the walk of one who isn't concerned with bandits or wild animals, when perhaps they should be to travel on roads between civilization. The sight of Ork and Cow naturally draws his attention, but his leisurely gait doesn't change as he heads over that way.
Sylvi comes riding along on her Jaguar, big (for a gnome) axe strapped to her back. "Hey! Don't need to hurt him!" she calls out from the fence while her mount growls softly. "You have to go for the legs! Tie him up! He is not going to stop!" she calls out with a smile, clearly enjoying the show.
"NRRRRRRRRRUGGGH!" Goes the Bull. "WAAAAGH!" Goes the Ork. As the two grapple linguistically they continue to fight physically. A shake of the bull's head driving it's horn into the center of Baz's chest where it scores off the skull like moniker of Kor engraved in his armor. Then ~CRANK-CRASH~ Comes another armored head-full of Ork into the Bull's skull. The animal beginning to get shakey on it's hooves as it's pulled even further to the side. Sweating glistening on the beast's hide and on the visible skin of Baz himself. "I GOTS YA NOW! AAHAHAH!" He seems heedless of the attention he's drawing and doesn't reply to the question. Merely drawing back his head and smashing the bull once more, sending it to it's knees and then onto it's side. Then stepping over it's legs, and ignoring further shouted instructions the Ork raises his armored fists up in an axe-handle and brings them down on the top of the Bull's head sending flush to the ground. Thumping his chest the Ork roars to the sky! "RAAAAR! ORKS IS THE BIGGEST AND THE STRONGEST!"
Duncan finally reaches the Ork, just in time to stand over the insensate bull. "Now what? Are you planning to pick it up and carry it?" Duncan turns to eye Baz and then look down at the bull again, realizing that might not be as impossible a feat as it would be for most.
Aerilaya just blinks as the bull is finally taken down by Baz, and she just stands there and shakes her head at this, she'll be betting that this bull did not belong to the Ork. She picks up the pace and makes it there finally, running up to the bull to see if it was killed or is just really damaged by the headbutts. "Yes, big, strong ork you are. Did this one belong to you?" She asks again, hoping to get an answer from the brutish man.
Sylvi urges Thunder, her Jaguar closer. "Exactly!" she adds to Aerilaya's comment "That belongs to someone and if you did it harm your going to have to pay for the damages! Thats someone livelyhood more than likely." She clearly has no problems talking to the larger folks.
Panting the big Ork stares at Duncan, the now two foot shorter creature standing so close. "Bleargh, Bleargh" Baz repeats as he pants, trying to catch his breath from just wrestling a bull. "Maybe I'll eats it?" Baz announces to Duncan, blinking at him. He flexes his armored fingers with thier pyramid shaped spikes on the knuckle plates and backs of his hands. Then suddenly more short people arrive. He finds himself being yelled at by a woman four feet shorter then himself. His small black eyes darting from Duncan to Aerilaya.
"Wot?" He replies to the short dwarven female. "Baz iz strong Ork, yes!" He thumps himself on the chest, making the metal thunk. "Dis moo-cow is..." He starts then finds himself stopped short as yet another short one arrives to yell at him, this time on a giant cat. Peering at Sylvi he shakes his head and hits the side of his helmet with his right palm. "Damnit, I gave me self anudder 'ead wound didn't I? Dis is go'in ta be a bad one I can tellz already." He starts unclasping a waterskin from his waist. "I shoulda used the damn club instead of me head, wot I get for hav'in ta show off for Kor."
Ga'Elian is flying toward the Vadran village just above the height of most of the trees in the area, his mount's wings strugglng against the gusty winds. The rider guides him to land upon the road near a mixed group, which includes a orc and several shorter folks.
Aerilaya just blinks at the audacity of this man and how he just wants to eat the bull. "Wot?!" She stands up and taps the ork on his knee, saying "You are going to pay this family for the life you've taken! Exactly as..." She motions to Sylvi on her Jaguar mount. "...As she says! Sorry, don't know your name." She offers a smile to the gnome, but returns her gaze on the much bigger man. "A head wound is going to be the least of your worries, bub!" She frowns and crosses her arms.
Sylvi perks up "Sylvi Sprocket! Knight and Protector of Happy Valley!" she announces cheerfully. "If I had to guess the bull will be alright but no eating!" she says quite sternly. "Can't fault it for its behavior, its nothing but muscles and hormones." she seems knowledgable about the topic.
Duncan furrows his brow. It all seemed innocent enough when it was just an orc and his unruly livestock. But it seems like there might be more to this than meets the eye. After a bit of thought the Khazad positions himself so that he's roughly between the Ork and the two others. "Let's not be hasty here," he says. "No reason to think the bull isn't his. If it does belong to someone, they'd know enough to keep an eye on it. And if someone came along and took it they'd raise a commotion." He glances over Aerilaya and Sylvi to see if they seem convinced. Then he turns towards the griffon and rider. "Speaking of which, you'd better keep an eye on it," Duncan asides to Baz. "That thing looks hungry too."
The Ork frowns as it's harassed further. It spares a glance towards the landing Griffon, but is soon brought around the the aggresive attack of the short. He shifts his huge armored form around the bulk of the bull, putting more of the big unconcious shape between himself and Sylvi and Areilaya. "Youz leave me alone! I beatz the bull fair an square." Then pulls the thick curved bladed knife from his boot. As Duncan moves to head off the other two shorts, Baz sets about scraping his blade along the bull's flank. Cutting off a swath of small hairs that he drops into a pouch on his hip. Then he makes his way towards it's head and begins whittling on the right horn, grinding off flakes of material into his palm. Glancing again at the Griffon the Ork snorts and narrows it's eyes. "Noaw one eatz dis cow but me!"
Ga'Elian looks a bit alarmed at the orc's blade-swipes. Jumping from the griffon and running over, he practically yells, "<something you don't understand in yrch-speak>"
Aerilaya lets out a low growl as she see the knife come out, and the scraping of the hair and the cut on the horn. She would do something, but Duncan stepped in between them. She raises a finger to say something, but it cut short by the man calling out in a tongue she does not understand. She grows silent and looks over to where she heard the noise to see an elf leaping off of a griffon... She knows this man, she met him once. She does not recall the name...
Sylvi rubs the bridge of her nose. "Looks, lets just get out of the pen before the bull comes to and /leave it alone/ It will try and gore you when it wakes." she says moving back towards the fence. "Your all crazy."
A five foot and some change red headed elf comes skipping into the area happily, litterally bouncing with all the energy she has, that or it's the curves. As far as most fems she's extremely curvy, for elves she's outright probably unreal! Kae pauses as she notices all the people and pauses, blinking as she stares at them.
Duncan chuckles good-naturedly when Sylvi describes the Bull waking up, but the sound ends abruptly when she calls them crazy. Duncan turns his head slowly to examine her to see if she's joking. Deciding she isn't, he proves to be not quite as touchy as some and accepts the admonishment in good grace. Backing up from the Ork and his efforts, "He's getting everything he can out of it," the Khazad pronounces when he finally realizes what the bits of fur and horn are for.
There's another frown from the Ork towards the collection of short people. He blinks his little black eyes and curls his lip up in annoyance then sets about scraping the horn of the unconcious bull he stands over for a few more moments. Giving Aerilaya a sour look, he points a finger to Duncan as the male dwarf speaks. Gathering up a palm full of shavings, which go in another pouch on his belt. His ears perk up and he stares at Ga'Elian for a long moment before he replies. "Yous don't uze dat no more. It sounds weird com'n from yer little pipes. I can speak de common tongue well enough." Shoving his dagger into his boot once more the Ork reaches over his back, and then tries again, and then turns and tries underarm. He starts to turn slowly in place as he grasps and grasps, apparently finding his armor causing him to have trouble to get at the pack on his back. Eventually however he gets his fingers purchased on the pack and pulls out a length of heavy rope. Which he begins to loop around the bull's neck. "Even if I did want ta eat him, not one of youz is gonna stop me, see? I beat dis bull fair an square. If I want me steak ta be so rare it moos while I chew, datz me choice."
Ga'Elian stops short as it dawns on him what Baz is NOT doing. He looks slightly perplexed, slightly abashed, and says, "Yeah, um. Alright." Then he looks at the others and bust out laughing at Kaelyn.

Kaelyn blinks and peeeers at Ga'Elian curiously "What I do that was so funny this time?" She asks curiously staring at the other now, curiously, then looking at the shoving contest between a midge... err dwarf and a flesh-wall.... she blinks and tiltsher head to the left and circles around curiously.
Ga'Elian says to Kaelyn, "You just seem so happy, it's simply a delight to behold. You frolic like a pix... Oh! Watch..." As she gets barreled into, "out."
The smallest person here, that being Aerilaya, bares her teeth as she sees the rope being taken out and tied around the neck of the bull. Her eyes go wide, this ork is not listening to anything they're saying, he's just going to steal this bull, the livelyhood of some farmers. She snorts and throws her gauntlets down onto the ground, and grips the rope with her bare hands. Her skin starts to change on her hands, going up her arms. They are golden scales, shimmering in any light shone onto them. She blinks, and her eyes shift from the soft, friendly brown to a sharp, gold, reptilian eyes. From the tips of her fingers sprout short, but sharp, claws. She cuts and removes the rope from around the neck of the bull, and turns to look at the ork. "This bull is not yours!" She bellows, and charges the ork, slamming into his leg. Her claws dig into the metal, and she heaves and lifts, picking him up by the leg and throwing him down to his back, a few feet away, slamming into the ground a few inches short of Kaelyn. The gold scaled Aerilaya stands there, panting from the strain from that.
Walking towards the nearest thick tree Baz begins to parcel out the rope with his hands, measuring for a knot and the width of the trunk when he feels the line go limp from the other end. Turning he glares at Aerilaya. "EY! Wot you doing dere?" He barks as she rushes him, turning towards her he finds himself being lifted suddenly. "WHAT! WHOA!" Then he's thrown, his massive armored form hurtling over the ground and then smashing into the earth with a clatter of metal, flesh and bone. "WArRfSSGh!" Baz says, face down in the road's mud. He rises to his feet with a snarling roar, his axe flashing into his right fist. "RIGHT, MURDER TIME." He bellows, panting and snorting. Then peers around again. Blinking a few times. "No, dis is it. You want da cow dat bad, you can 'ave him. I'm gonna get me a drink." He wipes the mud from his face, turns and tromps off towards town.
Kae blinks and looks up seeing the falling Ork? She stares for a few seconds and her eyes have just enough time to glance left and right. As she's landed on by the wall of green flesh, or the living castle, or whatever, she has just enough time to slap a crystal on her bracer. There's a dull flash and some arcane runes briefly seen before Kae dissapears under a wall of Ork.... Kae proceeds to wiggle as she's landed on....
Duncan puts a hand over his eyes. Once Baz is gone he flashes a stern look in Aerilaya's direction. "What was that about?" he grunts. "Even money says that -was- his bull, all along. And you just took it away from him! Isn't that exactly what you accused him of doing?"
Oh and the Redheaded elf is currently covered head to toe in sleek, rune encrusted black and silver armor... There's gems on the backs of the hands at the elbows and other joints as well... Kae wiggles while bodily planted in the mud... "Owwwwwww!!!" She calls out trying to pull her self free of the muck
Leaning against a tree nearby, A male oruch simply watches all of this go down....or went down, before he pets the head of a nearby wolf. As the dwarf 'bellows', the Oruch has his arms crossed and lets out a deep, yet merry chuckle......
Ga'Elian shakes his head. Wanders back to where the griffon stands waiting. "You people are confusing." He mounts up.
Aerilaya pants and sighs, her scales vanish from her arms, her eyes return to normal. She meanders her way back over to her backpack and picks it up, and over to her gauntlets that she dropped before, as to not damage them with her claws. "We asked him time and again if it was his bull in the first place, but he kept saying it was his now. We should find out from the owner of this place if he did any sort of payment, because it looked like he was stealing the bull for his own." She looks over to where the ork landed, and moves over to it. "Oh!" She starts, and offers a hand to pick up Kaelyn, who still lays on the ground from where the ork impacted before.
The Oruch, leaning up against the tree, shakes his head. "Looks like we came late to a party...." The wolf at his side lets out a growl, as if to acknowledge him. "Definitely some weird stuff going on around here, Trakker. Come on."
Kae blinks at Aerilaya and umms "Hiii!" She calls out, still covered head to toe in some kind of 'futuristic' arcane like armor. It's probably artificed armor... She soon enough, with the help of Aerilaya wiggles out and then glances down as she pouts, while sitting, "Wahhh, it's dirty!" she cals out then notices the hand and takes it before getting helped fully upright.... "Uhh, yah, hi!!!" She cals out again then glances over to Ga'Elian curiously "I'm just confused how an Orc landed on me!!!"
Ga'Elian shakes his head and simply calls back. "Fare well. I need to go check on... um, something." He launches skyward and out of sight.
Duncan's stern look grows even sterner, directed fully at Aerilaya now. "Didn't you hear a word I said? If he'd stolen it, you better believe there'd be a commotion. And someone would have stopped him - rangers of Gilead, or the town watch or some such." Duncan's look softens now. He never thought he'd be the one to teach younger Khazad wisdom, but he's up to the challenge. "You can't just guess that any Oruch you see with a bull, stole it. And that you're the only one who noticed, and it's up to you to get it back and return it to it's owners?" He grunts. "Or are you just lookin' for a fight for no reason?"
"it's entirely possible she's trying to prove herself, Master Dwarf." The 'new' oruch says as he walks his way closer with his wolf at his side. "Sometimes wisdom must be learned on their own....."
"No? He was headbutting it, and marked it as his after we asked him! Look!" She points to the farm that they're at, and the house not to far away. "They must not've heard anything yet. And, in the end, if it truly is his, he can just come back and take it again when we're not here, yes?" After all, they are standing in the pen that it was found in. "And if it was his, why did he not mark it sooner with the flank mark and the horn cut, and not on the spot?" She just frowns and shakes her head, but looks back to Kaelyn. "That's some fancy armor you got there. My name is Aerilaya Steelhand, it's nice to meet you!" She smiles and looks over to the oruch who came out of the forest. "No... I was just passing by when I heard the crunching, and I investigated. I personally think it's better to be safe than sorry about the ownership of this bull."
Kae peers around curiously again, then hits the button to collapse said armor... What ends up happening is a bunch of mud flies in all directsions, except directly at Kae of course and she ends up well rather clean with the armor all nice and neatly tucked away in her jewelry... "Ooh thanks! I likes it, took a lot of time to build it!" She calls out happily "Thanks for the handup!!!" She then notices Duncan and offers a cheerful wave his direction, and to the other Oruch too!!!
Duncan scowls at Aerilaya. So much for sharing wisdom with the young. Then he relents. "Guess what's done is done." He heads back for the path and then calls back. "Just don't go looking for trouble when there's enough going around already," he advises before disappearing.
