- Summary: Cryosanthia is relaxing at the Mithralla Merchandise store, which seems to be her new haunt of late, with Little Fang (Lily) making a strange vehicle with her Mechano set. Morgan arrives, having been gathering up some silk for the cloak Cryo requested, and they talk about various things. Flirting with Goddessess, which Morgan is apparently quite accomplished at, and some of Cryo's experiences with Salina and Eluna, which have left her quite jaded in regards to how immortals view and value mortals. They swiftly move on to other topics, books mostly, as that's a common feature at Mikilos' place, and Morgan gifts Lily with a speaking book, while Cryo explains her mask of one thousand tomes, and how it was made with pieces of the Crimson Pen, so it literally goes everywhere. It gets late and Cryo has to put Lily to bed, and they part.

Here, a large wooden structure has been built. Its somewhat eccentric yet elegant design suggests its owner may be of the arcane persuasion. To the side of the main structure is a small corral to for horses or wagons. Before the central building, a massive sword emerges from the earth. A sign upon it reads: "MITHRALA MERCHANDISE."
Inside is a small seating area with several comfortable chairs. To the back, an unobtrusive but businesslike sales counter, and two large signs. One asks patrons to please wait here and not disrupt those inside the lab. The other offers a lab rental at a very reasonable rate.
To the left and right are a large set of doors. The doors on the right lead to a large room which takes up most of the building. Several long tables are scattered about, many with small tool racks. A small forge sits off to the side. Unlike the average workshop, maps of celestial bodies and guides to the elemental planes line the walls. Large frameworks of brass, silver, and crystal occupy space between the tables. A large shelf dominates the far wall, the containers upon it sporting such labels as "wyvern bile," "sulfur," "tiger's tears," and other exotic items. A glass-covered hole in the roof, set with mirrors, offers direct sunlight, or moonlight, to shine upon various projects.
The doors to the left lead towards the direction of the mountains and what is reported to be a sildanyari-style ball room. Wizards.
During regular store hours, a young Llyranesi man, Belhan Mithralla, keeps an eye on the shop and the lab. When not cleaning or helping a customer, he can usually be found reading some book from the library.

It was a hot, humid day in Alexandria. Overcast and still, the heavy air sat on the city like an incontinent cat, always threatening an unpleasant deluge but never advancing past the stuffy stage.
Up on the mountain, at Mithralla's Merchandize, there's a bit more of a breeze and more sun. As it heads into evening, the air cools and dew covers most surfaces.
Inside the Mage's store, Cryosanthia is dealing with her own issues, which aren't weather related. She does tend to frost surfaces, leave fingerprints and footprints, and butt prints if she sits too long, here and there. This has become normal for her. Currently it's her wings, or half-wings, two-thirds wings to be exact, which are stuck in their development and painful. She's just had to live with those as well.
She's seated carefully in the store, reading, and watching her youngling screw something together from a mechano set. Morgan comes out of one work area wearing a thin dress that comes just past her knees. In her hands is a large bag but most not be heavy as she is holding it easly. Once she spots the dragon lady friend the half elf stops "hey there Cryo how are you." asked in a energitic tone.
"Oh! Morgan! Peace on your nest." The whitescale says, cheerfully sitting up and setting her book down. There's a distracted, "Peasss Kneeesss," from the carnation-scale youngling, who doesn't look up.
Cryo sits forward on her seat with a careful smile, "I'm well." She gestures at the two spars that rise from her back, are folded over and wrapped in a cloth, "well enough. I've been busy, and with summer I'll be busier doing Ice Boxes."
Morgan takes a seat next to Cryo and says "I only made two. One for my food and a different one to keep my house cool during when we get heat like this." she places the bag at her side and then says "You know you can come by any time to cool off when I am home. Or when Brae is with you as she has a key to my home."
Cryosanthia nods, "Oh, that would be nice. I didn't know she had a key. I might sometime with her." She sighs heavily, "the ones in the pubs and the fishing boats aren't magic, so I charge them up with cantrips, or sometimes I'll use my breath if I don't think I'll be doing anything adventurous that day."
She looks the elf over, examining her dress, "Were you making something in the workrooms?"
Morgan shakes her head "no I need phase spider silk to weave in your cloak, and the rest I might make in to a dress or what ever." she give a smile as she does have a very girly side to her. "Or maybe you and Brae would like something, what clothing do you like to wear?"
"Uh... oh. Um." Cryo blinks, "like for special occsasions, like a wedding dress? I've been using AnyGarments sleeves for so long I don't have any non-magical clothing."
She concentrates, and her current wizarding robes vanish leaving her with boots, gloves, a corset and short cloth arm-warmers from elbow to wrist. Another moment and she's wearing a dress that matches Morgan's, sized a little larger and smaller for her. "Faran shared a memory of putting on silk with me. It was fantastic, but my scales aren't nearly as sensitive as soft skin."
Morgan gets a sad look as she did not think about scales part "I know I been using the same item. It helps to keep cool with weather like this, but if you want I have some pretty necklaces and such at my place. I think the golden ones would look real pretty on you." Lily meanwhile, has constructed some sort of articulated vehicle that bends in four places and has 9 sets of wheels.
"I'd be happy to try those on. You think gold would work for my colouration?" Cryo touches at her throat, "I've always stuck to silvery-white, and blues, like sapphires. I could try that."Shehe looks thoughtful, "Gold could be nice."
Morgan nods "I even have some mithral blue stuff but I need to repair them as that stuff is a few 1000 years old." Adventures do find nice and strange things. "I have this one necklace that has a silver chain in the center with a gem on the top that lies above my brests and the chain goes down for another silver chain that goes around the lower half. Well on a normal person yes but I am to short for it."
"All the way down?" Cryo glances at Morgan's waist, then up at her breasts. "Oh! You're not wearing it now. The old mithril one sounds fantastic. Oh."
She opens the small bag that hangs around her neck and takes out a small cloth wrapping. She unfolds it, revealing several silver scales. "Braelnoir gave me these, from when she was a marilith. I've been wanting to make them into an amulet. Mighty Fists, as that seems appropriate for her, and maybe increase my scale toughness."
The whitescale laughs, "Then maybe I won't feel a thing."
Morgan looks them over and says the name of the creature "I have red dragon ones but I would like to hold on to them for some time." she then says "But as to the clothing all I am wearing are my body piercings boots and my magical many garment sleeves." yes she did not say she was wearing a dress. "but the one thing I did talk about you can have it if it fits."
"Oh keep the red dragon scales if you have them. Those are powerful. Do you know who they came from?" Cryo asks, interested. Even Lily looks up from her toy, Red Dragons intrigue her too. Cryo clicks the scales she's showing off, "These are important to me because they are from Braelnoir, and she was very beautiful when she was a chimera with scales. Still is, but, she felt more right that way."
Her tail coils about, tailtip wiggling happily, her ear fins rise, "you're okay with parting with it? This one would be very flattered."
Morgan nods "its all yours, and we are friends and I have one being made for my size." she fixes her self in the seat "But about the red scales were gotten from my fight with Khaerealtha. He was causing trouble for the guild and was hiding in the plane of earth thinking we would be looking in the plane of fire for the big prat."
"Ha! That's where I would have looked." Cryosanthia says, crossing her arms and resting them on her lap. She inhales Morgan's scent, part of appreciating her and the story, "Khaerealtha. What was he like? Terrible I imagine. Reds are cruel. How did the battle go?"
Morgan smells a bit of strawberries "He stolen something that was being brought from Rune to here. And for as what was like, well as for a Dragon he was a bit slow. Maybe it was because of the plane of earth being cold or something else. And the fight was not that hard as we gotten him stuck in a cave where he could not move that much. And sadly he would not surender and fought to the death."
"Oh." The whitescale exhales, her shoulders slumping just a little. Lily has paused in her play, and her tail thumps lightly on the ground. "Well, dragons don't usually surrender. I heard of one doing so and then he got shoved in a well and the adventurers beat his hindquarters."
She looks over, "I'm glad you won the fight, and Reds are cruel and dangerous, so I know you did what you had to, it's just sad to hear." She closes her eyes, inhales strawberries.
"Mobility is key a lot of times."
Morgan smiles softly "I do not like killing, but I hope his next life if better and seems a waist. The power he could of had if used it right."
"Back... Kobold." Lily speaks up. She sounds like a high-pitched Sith'Makar, very hight pitched.
"What?" Cryo looks over at her.
"Bad Dragons are punished and come back as Kobolds." Lily says, switching to Draconic, spreading her small hands wide, "The whole tribe." <draconic>
"This one... doesn't think that's how it works." Cryo replies, glancing at her youngling then back at Morgan. "Well, hopefully, a better life, yes."
Morgan hmms as she thinks on that "Well that could be a chance, but sadly the gods do not tell us if they gave the soul a new life." she speaks good Draconic for a human or elf can "But I met a few ok Kobolds." <draconic>
"You aren't Khaerealtha come back as a Kobold, Little Fang. The timing is not right, and you would have been a boy." Cryo says, swiftly dismissing that notion before it can stick. "You're wonderful as yourself." <draconic>
The whitescale nods, explaining, "her scales are reddish, she has some red traits, habits we've been working on."
Lily returns to rattling her vehicle around.
Morgan looks to the little one "luv be a good person and do right to others and you will have a nice after life." she then looks to Cryo "My own goddess told me that, and then said to stop flirting with her." <draconic>
Cryo snorts suddenly, an unexpected laugh. She has a wide, eager grin, "Which Goddess is that? This one knows you said but I've forgotten! That's better than what my Goddess said to me, and she didn't even really directly."
"I'll be good." Lily says quietly. She's also watching, to learn about flirting with goddesses. <draconic>
Morgan switches to common "Eluna, and that was in her realm. She and I was suprised that me and my adventuring group ended up there. She sent a avatar to talk to us. But I think she found it flatering."
"Oh," Cryo says, her voice falling. The temperature seems to drop slightly as well. "The Dreaming Dragon has... well, her servants, and..."
Her explanation halts abruptly. She leans forward more, curling up on herself, crossing her ankles and wrapping her tail around them. "Merek and Seldan and..." That explanation trails off also.
"My Mistress." The whitescale is staring at a point on the floor, "She answered my Mistress' prayers, not mine. She couldn't even enter her space. Salina's. The Queen of Endless Winter."
"She got Eluna's mercy in the light, and I lived in a dream with a dream." She shakes her head slightly, "I'm sorry. I don't think I'd flirt with her if I met her, even though I'm sure the Dreaming Dragon is very nice."
Morgan nods "Well live life, and if you meet some one that gets your fancy put it out there. But one can not falught some one to try and seduce divinity it self, but I knew I had no to little chance." she crosses her legs "But I have not met any one else that met a god/es and tryed that."
Lily has run her vehicle thing around to the spot where Cryo is staring. The little Kobold stands it, and looks up at her. The lizards are nose to nose, and the whitescale blinks and chuffs an exhale, "I won't think about it Lily, you're right."
She straightens, with a deep inhale and nods. "Yes. I may do that, 'put myself out' so to speak at the Am'shere portal. Some are expected through in the next few days."
"I've not met anyone that met a goddess, so that's also rare."
Morgan nods "well not many do, except for clerics and adventures like us. And a loremaster like me I get out there and talk to people that say they had. But sadly most of them were lying or tricked in to thinking they talked to one."
"There are charlatans about." Cryo nods, gesturing with a hand, "I didn't really speak to Ceiara. I spoke to a very old actress. Well, old for a human, likely younger than me. Her words were, 'Things happen and all you can do is try to make the best of them, and find some inspiration.' Meaning, I suppose, that she wasn't going to help or fix anything for me, but perhaps I could get a good story out of it."
Morgan hmms "good chance you did talk to one. Do not forget mortals like us can not look apon one with out going insane or being destroyed. So some times they talk threw followers avatars or servants. But the hard part is it real or a trick."
The whitescale nods, "Well, it sounded like something she would say, so I imagined it was her saying it. After time it's kind of turned into her giving me the advice. So, I try to. Stay neutral in things, that's what I'm supposed to do as Speaker-Caste anyhow."
She grins, "Though I will try to live up to your example if I ever meet one for sure."
Morgan gives a chuckle "Well you might end up married to one... yeash how would life be like that, probly boring except the alone time with the said power."
"Only in the Crimson Pen!" The whitescale laughs, then looks thoughtful. "Hmmm. A story about living with a Goddess. Or Goddesses. Oh My! It could be a series of stories. No, no, readers would never believe they'd live with a partner that had no personality and never committed. Plus they might not like how they're portrayed..."
She winks at Morgan, "Worst thing I've heard is to show a goddess in a bad light, they never forgive."
Morgan nods "now that I could tell you a couple hundred storys about. I even can tell you the best book in the libary to read." she give a smirk "Read Alvic the dim, it is very funny."
"Alvic the dim? Okay, I'll look for that." Cryo says, "Oh! Did I tell you? I have a mask of books, it's great, it finds almost anything for me. I still like reading actual ones though. Lying there blinded and in bookspace is a little weird."
Morgan nods "I have heard of that mask, I plan on making one my self when your cloak is done. Though I do have other items to help me in that area when at the libary."
The whitescale nods, "Mikilos made it for me, with some of his ruined books. You have to make a mask from the pages. It was a bit like playing with paper mache'. I made sure to include one from a Crimson Pen book. So it can look up anything."
She grins with her mouth open in a wide smile, dipped just a little to obscure her teeth. "I use it to read to Lily."
"Bed time story." The carnation scale says.
Morgan hmms as the mentioning of bed time storys and reaches in her haversack on the side. A few moments later she pulls out a green book "This book is for children but if you press the rune at the top it makes sounds. I love this book but the little one might like it also."
Lily absolutely would like a book like that. She stands eagerly and holds up both hands. "Yessss."
"Little Fang, what do we say?" Cryo's Sith'mom voice comes through loud and clear.
"Pleeassss, thanssss. I wanssss." The Kobold youngling hisses eagerly, waving her hands some more.
Morgan smiles and says "read well my little friend, and when you know all the storys come to me for a new book."
"Thanssss." Lily takes the book and hugs it to her chest, both hands wrapped around it. She immediately sits down, a little thump and opens it up. The button that makes sounds fascinates her.
"Don't take it apart Lily." Cryo cautions, keeping an eye on her. She turns towards Morgan with a grateful smile, "thank you, truly. You are a good friend to this one, and I appreciate knowing you. I need to tell my friends this more."
Another glance at Lily, then back, "I fear she's probably going to break it. She's very curious, it's one of her best traits."
Morgan smiles greatly "Good and I hope you learn the storys and tell your friends them also, and yes please do not destory the magical book while its not expensive its rare."
"Yessss." The carnation-scale reassures, paying more attention to the book than the adults. She pushes the button, and a tiny shrieker shriek is heard, which makes her laugh.
"I'll keep it safe." Cryo promises, looking between her youngling and her friend, "It is near her bedtime. I should put her down. It will be a few more days on the cloak I guess, yess?"
Morgan nods "it should be soon and if you want come by my house and check it out." She looks to the time "I should get going my self." she looks lovingly to the little one then gives Cryo a hug before she flys off.
The whitescale watches the witch fly off, and then crouches down to her youngling's level. She groans, her wing-spars aching from the movement. "Come Little Fang, gather your things, we're going to bed. Ssassa aches, so please pick them up."
The carnationscale looks up at the much larger Sith'makar, with an understanding beyond her years in her eyes. Not a reincarnated dragon spirit, but the experiences of a disadvantaged species and her earlier hard life. She is a child, but one with less self-absorbtion than most, and she obeys even if she wants to stay up.
Ssassa looks tired, hurt, and in need of sleep. She can help with that, and she will.
