         This great meadow rests between two forests. The heady oaks on either side occasionally rustle their branches, as kindly grandfathers looking down upon their grandchildren. Amid the meadow, faerie-elves dance, their giant hips swaying with the breezes and causing miniature earthquakes as they giggle and prance about the place. 
         "I do so love to hug everyone!" one enthuses. And before too long? They've broken into song, a perfect rainbow arcing out of nowhere and suddenly above them!
         "I love you, you love me, we're a..."
         And on and on it goes, the precious song of laughter and light spiraling upwards towards a perfect blue sky.
         And then, a bluebird flies by.
         And poops on you.

GAME: Aurala casts Haste. Caster Level: 10 DC: 17

Aurala takes a look around and decides the first thing would be to accelerate things and she calls on the magic within her and speaks the words. A glow of her magic spreading around her and a few of the others as they start to move faster.

GAME: Seldan casts Dispel Magic. Caster Level: 16 DC: 20

That is quite a lot of nasty-looking, really, and Seldan takes half a step backwards as it emerges. He speaks an arcane word, and one of the rings on his left hand glows a robust pink-red. With that hand, he then raises a finger and draws a set of sigils in the air. The sigils hang for a moment, limned in yellow fire, but then the ring flashes brightest white, and the sigils vanish with the glow from the ring, leaving the paladin fading into and out of existence.

       Merek tries to use magic, he doesn't manage to do a lot.

As her companions begin to summon their magics and move into position, Serene strides forth. A snap of her fingers summons a simple, silver rod into her hand and through it she calls to Eluna, summoning a minor blessing upon herself. Another snap and the rod is gone, though her hand does not remain empty as the hiss of her blade clearing its scabbard marks her next steps. The blade continues to move as she closes the distance upon the city's defender, arcing high and then down as it shears into the construct's body in a small shower of sparks... but the damage begins to knit itself back together.

Toha, being at ground zero for the festivities, snaps a hand to her greatsword, yanking it from the scabbard as something ratchets into a new position within the living construct. A lot rumble reverberates within her as a ruby mote of flame flares to light within the center of her eyeslit. Silver wisps of glowing mist weave into intricate geometic patterns for a moment before flashing away, and she is suddenly in a slightly different place. Her motive straps creak like twisted ropes and, with a bellow of rage, she arcs the blade of her greatsword across the Kulthian construct!

The massive, two-legged metal monstrosity screeches out of the elevator. The massive cannons built into its sides and chest open fire, spraying the party in rays of energy that seem to carry a cascade of effects that... don't really accomplish much? Sure, one sizzled across Serene, but there it is. 

It's massive pincer-claw hands smash into Serene and Toha while a whipping tentacle of flexible metal with a drill head spinning madly on it slices into Serene's armor, trying to embed itsefl through her breastplate in a shower of sparks.

Fire and cannon rays make for a nasty combination, ripping across Seldan's chest and body in a scoring, nasty line that penetrates armor and burns like hell. "Ware you!" he shouts over the din of battle. "The cannons are a prismatic ray, a dangerous spell! Disable those cannons, or we might not live to regret the lack!"

Suiting actions to words, he begins a complex series of sigils, then shouts an arcane word. The sigils before him burst into violet fire, hanging before him, all interlinked. With a final shouted word, an arcane negation, he slashes through all three symbols, nearly missing the symbols altogether when his arm accidentally touches still-hot metal and leaves a nasty-looking scorch mark. Pressing his lips together to avoid swearing in the middle of the spell, he completes the slash, and the symbols - invert, turning black and reversing polarity, targeting the second cannon and drawing its magic with them as they vanish.

"That will not last long, and I shall try the other if none else do! Move swiftly."

Merek lifts up a hand while he begins to charge it with the power of magic. Then he sends a bolt of acid lightning into that machine of war.

Morgan flys up and angles her self "This thing shoots out prsimatic rays, nasty things." she then makes a few motions sendout a nasty cone that seems to of done some dammage to it.

The energy which the construct's cannons wash over the party includes Serene, though she manages to raise her shield and weather some of its effects... a grunt indicates her throwing off an assault upon her mind by one of the blasts. When her shield lowers, the mithril steaming a little more than the paladin herself, she leads with her sword, attempting to build upon the closing wound she inflicted moments before. As she does she barks out, "Draw back.. try to draw it out of the lift!" As she smashes the creature's pincer aside, she thrusts her sword forward, then backsteps.

The good news is that it's pushing forwad on its four legs for stability, taking advantage of the space offered by Serene as she backs up along with Toha. It's cannon has dimmed, and the other is sparking thanks to Toha's hit. These are good things. It's whipping drill strikes Toha, then switches to Serene, trying to pierce still while it's massive, pincer clawed hands smash into both of them. 

.. that's the good news! 

The bad news is that it's regenerating. The damage done to it is just ... repairing. On its own.

GAME: Stegasaurus rolls cmb: (2)+25: 27

Toha, still riding the Whitefire, steps in to soak the momentum of her swing. The ruby flame in her eyeslit traverse the darkness of her gaze to keep relative focus on the Kulthian machine. She brings Piriona accross the dangerous weapon, catching a deep gouge from the drill, spraying her quicksilver blood, and again when it retalliates, proper, though her followup swings avail her nothing.

GAME: Whirlpool rolls 1d100: (24): 24

The little white rat sees that one, then the other, cannon seem to be dealt with in the immediate. She focuses on coaxing the blasphemous behemoth more into the open to split its fire and better allow the group to focus their own. Skittering underfoot her allies and subsequently the thing, she darts into the elevator. Once there, the little white rat rapidly grows into a behemoth of scales, spine plates, and tail spikes. All the better to try and shove the creature out of the elevator...


The GIANT DINOSAUR is suddenly pushing on it from behind trying to shove it roughly out of the elevator instead of it taking its time... 

... but then the ground shakes. No, wait. That's not the ground shaking. That's the elevator. There's a loud CLANG and the sound of something metal *screeching* and then both of them are gone. 

The elevator's moorings snapped and took *both of them with it*. SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEECH...
In Un'eth's defense, rat and dinosaur brains are roughly the same size. Also in her defense, she DID manage to move the contraption out of the doorway! Why, it even brought the group out of immediate harm!
