When the three of you reach the corner, you turn it to see the caves beyond, a large antichamber with another beyond it that holds a dais, and on it a passed out dwarf. Standing at the steps of the dais are three small creatures. They look short, with red woolen caps upon their heads. Two of them turn, the crackling on bones as their heads unnaturally make the movement first, with their skin pulling tight into lines and tearing in places before their bodies catch up. The last one steps back with a ragged stump, black-blood prints left behind each movement.

Their features are a shadow of what they once were. and in their hands are weapons that look too large for them. They hold scythes in their hands, the blades jagged and rust, the tips scratching the surface of the rock with every beleagured step. Their eyes have a light behind them, purple and burning.

Unfortunately as you round the corner, there's a sound from behind. A sound like a sort of hideous squeal that raises in pitch and is joined by others. There's more of those undead porcupines coming up from behind. Hun'rar looks to you his two companions, turns back to the mass of creatures starting to swarm in from the rear. He grips his bastard sword with both hands and says with a strength to his voice, "Go. I will cover the rear. Get Nactoon."

<OOC> Tarragon says, "well then."

<OOC> Kisaiya says, "Easiest way to keep him in but not. You know?"

<OOC> Chach reads!

"well....damn." Tara says before looking to Chach. "Can you handle them, Chach?

<OOC> Kisaiya says, "Okay! Chach! You're up first."

<OOC> Kisaiya figures 1 pose each to get back into the swing, then start off with where we left off on Inits.

"They are no match for the Lady Boom-boom's finest!" Chach declares. He stands near the entrance, ready to TAKE ON THE WORLD. The lean gobber could not look more determined!

<OOC> Kisaiya says, "They're roughly 30 feet away."

"Ahem," Chach says. He frowns at the creatures below. "This will be yer last performance, you vetches. This. Is. Your. Curtain call! ...praise-you-great-lady-love-you-lots!" he says, and then runs forward, turning and twisting as he does. He slams, hip-slams into the leftmost creature, apparently intent on working his way across the line dance.

<OOC> Kisaiya says, "Whoop, first one should've been 9, not 11."

As Chach ran up and engaged the one on the left, the one farthest way turns its head with a creaking gesture of bone-on-bone. The gaze fixes on Tarragon instead and it advances with an unnatural quickness. It's rusty scythe blade sparks off the rock ground as it throws its weight behind the charging attack and cuts into Tarragon.

The other two turn toward Chach with that same grinding creaking noise and charge him as well. The one in front of him simply swinging the scythe while the other comes at him from the side with a sort of hissing scream only an undead could dream to make.

As Chach fights the creatures in front of him, the odd creature seems to emerge from the shadows. It's no longer hidden as it shoots its quills toward the goblin. "You will never save Nactoon." It croaks out and starts to cackle. As if to make it even worse, Chach can feel a poison enter his veins, sapping at his strength.

<OOC> Chach > Panache for extra damage to the one he'd hurt before! Then acro back to Tarra and the entrance! He'll put himself between Tarra's annoying thing, and the rest of them. This can mean he gets sandwiched, but that's what swashes are for! Also, hopefully the entrance will keep them from swarming too much!

"Hey, hey! Roll it back!" Chach slams against the redcap, twice and then from the side. The second maneuver drops the snarling man. He aims a third hit against the porcine creature, "You ain't got what it takes, lady! Lady-Boom-Explosions got th' boom-boom, and what've you got? Nothin!" He steps back then, using Tarra's summons as a blocker. He gives her a shaking wave, an attempted flourish. "Be safe up der! I told that lady she's full of it! Glare'em in the eyes, Tarra!"

The redcaps swung their scythes in deadly archs toward their targets. Chach moves out of the way with his supernatural grace, and it cuts the air in front of him. The other swings toward Tara but she simply effortlessly sways out of the way. Their blades returning to the ground where they drag, digging little trenches in the earth.

The lady again cackles at Chach, her clawed hands now raking across him as she grins maliciously, not even noticing the Gloomblind bolt that soars nearby and scatters against the rock wall. "You will all die here." She croons out, but Chach isn't done with her yet. The cuts he gives her in kind leaving her looking haggard, bloodied even.

Round Eight - Init 21.

It is now Redcaps' turn! Tarragon is next!

"Tha Lady calls tha curtain, not you!" Chach's words get undercut (haha!) in a failed dodge. He comes back, hitting with a dancer's kick, and sweep of ears. The bangles, and jangles slice as he does, catching, then cutting skin. "It ain't yer place ta say! Hey, Tarra! Try'er again!" And then he dances back, pointing at the creepylady with two fingers. Then his own eyes. Then her again. He's also gray, ghastly, shaking, and bleeding!

One of the Skeletal creatures tries to follow after Chach, but as it moves it finds itself stuck in the tentacles. It wrestles with them but can't seem to break free. The other one approaches the with again, its scythe low and it makes its odd creaking screetch as it swings with its rusted scythe and hits her with it.

The creature steps off to the side, after being hit with this withering blast by the witch. She looks at her, looking weak and grins, "I'll deal with you next." She grins and, now flanking the Goblin, tries to slash at him with her deadly claws.

Still, Chach turns, holding up victory hands to Tarragon, "We did it, lady, we did it! Now put yer hands UP!"

...aaaand probably completely forgetting about the flailing redcap behind him!

Another shimmy and then Chach runs, racing straight for the creature swinging at Terra. "This ain't your dance, crazy scythe-man! It's mine, and you ain't cuttin in! " he shouts, landing hip, foot against the creature. Weakend from Terra's magic earlier, that's all it takes. He claps his hands together, smartly, and jumps atop the pile. "--Hey, Terra! We've still got ta wipe tha floor with one more of these! Want t'go with me?" he asks, the diminutive dancer holding out a hand.

The crushing force of those tentacles squeezes further still and it lets out a howl of annoyance that only an undead can make. It's not looking nearly as bad as one might thing though, perhaps the crushing damage isn't as effective versus it.

The Skeletal redcap appears to be the luckiest creature in this entire place as it survives the onslaught of the heroes. Tarragon's hair just barely misses it as the goblin runs up toward it and lays into it with a strong cut. The creature lets out a rattling breath into his face and the scythe scrapes along the ground before cutting up and reversing its direction to slice back down. The rusty blade cutting deeply into the goblin as it starts to chuckle - the sound like bones rattling against eachother.

Ohshit, his features say, for a moment. Gray and shaking, gobber-ears trembling. Then, "It's curtain call for you, ya gravegrabber!" Pure, swashbuckler bravado! He's smacked and bloody and bleeding, but hey!

Tara arcs her hair out to wrap around the neck of the skeleton.....and blue energy crackles into it. Suddenly it explodes from the positive energy. Tara sighs softly and floats down to touch Chach on the shoulder....and help many of his wounds with a simple.....hex.

Chach boogies around Terra, elbows and arms. A few more words to Ceinara! for theor glorious battle! Oh, wait, they're supposed to help someone! He takes off, dashing towards the comotose khazad! "Hey, hey you! Time ta get up! Never miss a beat, ya gotta go!"

The last of the creatures destroyed, and now the sounds of the battle from the other hallway sop as clearly Hun'rar has beaten back the hoard of creatures as well. Or perhaps the majority died with the death of their creature - unlike the redcaps. Either way, its quiet when Chach rushes over to Nactoon. He groans as there's yelling.

"Oi... Just gimme a few min'tes more. Yeah?" He grunts and waves at Chach. Fiddlyboo comes skating into the room, swaying from side to side. "CHACH!" She calls out and start moving toward him... trying to entangle him in her hair. "Are you okay?"

"I--" Even Chach recognizes the danger of THAT LOOK. It's the same look he gives iconics of Ceinara! Of course he recognizes it! "He's sick, ladyboo! We've got ta get him to a doctor, or everythin' we fought for is gonna be in trouble!" he says. He scrambles, moving to put the focus on helping the khazad AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!

She frowns and looks toward Nactoon, and then Tarragon casts the healing recovery on him so Fiddlyboo turns back toward Chach. "Oh... We'll have the whole trip back." To say that her eyebrows wiggled would be to not understand that she had control over her hair. People in Alexandria probably know what she's hinting at with how much hair just wiggled.

Ohshit! Chach pushes at the khazad. Who is much less dashingly slender as he is! Still, you know, there could be benefits! A night of having his ears petted, via hairy eyebrows! He puts on his best smile, "We do! Now let's get this guy on his feet!"

The way back was as easy as the way there, though there was much attempt at Chach being wrapped up in a certain witch's hair (Hint, not Tarragon). Fiddlyboo is more than glad to keep up the cooking, and Nactoon even seems to be making a good recovery between the help and the food. The only real question is...
