There's music at the Fireside tonight. Not drums or the like but the sound of a wild violin being played. The player is a short elvish individual with long flowing hair. They stand tall in spite of their short stature, lavender eyes closed though they open now and again to capture the gaze of the audience and reel them in all the more. The player sways as they play, dancing in time to the music that is... Angry. It's furious and heart wrenching. Like the story of a lover torn from your side. It's the aching remembrance of bitterest love. It calls to the soul in a way that only really good music does and pulls the listener in without a word. Just when it seems that the song might release it continues on and the crowd is /thumping/ in time with it. Roaring approval at the sound of the music that just wont release them.
Ezil had entered mid-song, having made his way towards the bar and ordering a small-beer as he watches that elvish player from a distance. The music seems appreciated, his attention upon the performance until it's done, and his diluted beer is in hand, taking it to warm himself at one of the tables, minding his own business for the time being.
Sitting in the Lodge off to one side is a woman dressed in greater finery than one might normally expect for such a place; a noble lady, certainly, judging by the small entourage sitting or standing around her. Perhaps not the Fire Lodge's normal clientele, but the doors are open to everyone, afterall. She seems to be enjoying conversation with a couple men who are equivalent to her station, while listening to the music, with a servant of some sort standing nearby. All in all, though, out of place they might be; but it's hardly anything too out of the ordinary.
Walking into the place just behind Ezil is one human sorceress, clad in white with a wide-brimmed hat. Delilah takes a moment to give one of the lenses hovering in front of her eyes a little nudge, before gazing around the place; she smiles at the musician, playing his violin like he really means it; but then her eyes settle on something else, and her grin broadens to something almost predatory.
Away from the roaring of the crowd and the hauntingly beautiful music, a short stocky figure named Volund sat leaned back in his chair, his feet across the table as he observed for now. Since leaving his tribe he'd been traveling, fighting and otherwise surviving on the road, and his first few weeks inside a proper 'city' did not quite impress. The beds were too soft, the food was too much, and it seemed every third person around was even softer than the beds!
The dwarf was dressed in his armor for the most part, though his helm was pulled back and hanging off the back of his suit to just show his hair and beard. Around him was a plum of smoke courtesy of a lit simple wooden pipe, a few empty pitchers of beer already scattered along his table. Well, at least it was easy to get absolutely smashed in a big city, so maybe it couldn't be ALL bad...
Finally, at long last the song comes to an end and it's clear that the player is breathing heavy from the effort of playing so hard. People clap their approval and the bard takes a bow. With that the elf moves away from the impromptu stage, seeming to need to sit down for a little bit. But first they stop to put the bow reverently into its case, and then with that done they gather the instrument and take a seat near the fireplace where its warm. Nobody so far has approached them, and the bard doesn't seem to expect anyone to, motioning quietly for a drink that comes quickly but sits untouched near at hand.
The Tsuran found his seat close to the fire, sipping his drink as he watches the musician come close enough to speak to, his words light as he motions to the instrument. "It's a shame you stop. I miss the nights where the song and dance lasted till the rising sun. Reminded me of home." Even if the song wasn't very joyous, the performance seems to be well received. With another swig his glance goes over the busy room, though with a smile he leans back in to his seat. "It's a different kind of lively here, isn't it?" this question asked as almost an after thought.
The nobles offer their applause, of course. One of them, the woman, attracts the attention of one of the barmaids and gives her some instructions, finishing off by pointing at Shizin. The barmaid smiles and nods, before wandering off.
Delilah, for her part, wanders right up to where Shizin and Ezil are talking. "Fantastic performance." She smiles pleasantly, "I haven't heard anything played like that before, honestly. It was something else, even just walking in for the evening." She clasps her hands behind her back, and arches her spine. "I'm gonna provide a little entertainment of my own in a moment. Ever seen some common wench like me go ruin a noble's evening? I'm about to."
That plume of smoke gets closer to the group, and a tough, gravelly voice crackles out.
"In the mountains, the only time I heard a sound like that was when an eagle got a goat by the neck, an' started flyin' it off a cliff. That big horned hoof bastard kept screamin' all the way down, an' I swear that evil bird was screechin' at him like, 'You dummy, you deserve this 'cause ya got caught.'...It was a nice song, elf. I really liked it."
From the armor-wearing dwarf, a single platinum coin was flipped toward the bard, even as the figure looked at everyone there.
"...What? What'd I say?"
And with the end of the music, there's a loud whistling noise! And rampant applause! It does not matter if this is not the right way, with people normally doing polite applause, because Kisaiya doesn't care. Two fingers in her mouth to create the triangle for the whistle, then riotous clapping from up in one of the more prestigious areas for people who put too much money into this sort of thing.
And it ends with a whooping call of course and a fist shaking in the air (like she just don't care).
That was before she slipped out of her box and into the area to mingle soon after. A overdress of maroon -- a tightly spun cotton with embroidered purple flowers, gold colored ties holding it in place. The underdress a much more simple one by comparison but no less richly in the near-black purple hue. "KAE!" Kisa calls out, looking around, giving a sort of thin-lipped expression. She thought she had bought her friend a seat in the box.
The bard settles into their seat and makes themselves comfortable there, careful of long hair that flows to the ground in wave of color from deep dark blue to pale platinum blonde. "I will play again." Is the soft reply to the concept that there will be no more music this night. Shizin is only just beginning after all; though in fact the elf has been playing for... Some time. Some time indeed. The blue hair dips in to a nod to the second part of that same personage's question and then Delilah enters.
The complements cause color to rise to the bards cheeks and Shizin ducks behind a fall of dark blue hair though it does little to hide the way those cheeks have colored. It seems that this bards performance will wait at least a little while longer. Nor does it seem that this is the last personage to approach the bards table for a gruff dwarf tosses the violinist a coin which Shizin neatly catches in one pale hand; flashing an arching tattoo on the wrist as the bard does so. "Thank you." Is the offered reply to the complement though the dwarf's does not get the same bashful reply as Delilah's more mainstream complement did.
Ezil lets the bard soak in his praise, something about Delilah's words and the others focus shifting to near where they sit causing him to shift nervously in his seat. "I've not met many nobles, but I try to steer clear of making anyone too upset. Though you do you, Miss." his words drowned with another swig of his drink, setting the flagon on the table and taking another long look around the room. The Dwarf, that's whom he calls too. "A way with words, a natural poet of the earth." drumming a finger on his cup and sighing. "What have the stars started tonight?" his words now more for just himself.
Delilah grins at Shizin, and nods. "Well, I certainly hope you do play again," she replies, "Because your music was wonderful to listen to. ...I'm certain that my sister would love it, too, I'll have to bring her here to hear you play, if you're going to be here another night?" She fiddles with a pouch on her belt, and after a moment pulls out a neatly folded bit of paper; she unfolds it, and it has some writing on it with what looks like a noble's seal.
"Time to go call in an overdue debt," she declares. She winks at Ezil, and gives Volund a nod as she turns to walk up to where the nobles are sitting.
"Lady Bethany Alenthor," she drawls as she gets close. She moves to stand right in the middle of the small noble gathering, positioning herself with her back to the two men and blocking their view of the woman she's standing over. "You owe me money. You *still* owe me money, actually; plus interest, given how overdue you are on paying."
Kisaiya turns one way, then the other and gives a frown, "Hmmm..." Knowing Kaelyn, not seeing her was either exceedingly good, or exceedingly bad. She was hoping for the good outcome, with a squint and a perch up on her toes to check over the heads of people. "Nooope, still don't see her. Oh! Maybe they made her go to the stables." Another pull of her mouth off to the side, and then she starts in toward where she thought she spotted someone she had met before.
A little nudge this way, a nudge that, and there she was! "Donla!" A fling of her arms into the air as she moves in closer, "Or was it Delonna?" She gave a little frown at that point, "I always mix you two up." And a plant of her hands on her hips.
For his part, Volund had never seen or met a 'noble', so this was all a new experience. It also meant that he did not know enough of the situation to be nervous or intimidated, and might have bristled more if he got the sense that he was supposed to be one of those things.
Instead, the short man finishes another beer as if he were a dying fish desperately gulping water in an effort to cheat the fish reaper. Was there a fish reaper?
Such a question would go unanswered, even as Volund gave a belch and gave Ezil a friendly clap along the shoulder.
"Dontcha ferget it, chum. Our heads is like...lightnin'. Or sumthin'. -hic-"
Shizin bows once again to Delilah, nodding politely. "I will be here." It sounds like a promise, or perhaps like a statement of fact. A touch between the two spoken in that quiet yet easily heard musical voice which defies description beyond that. Still, as Delilah moves away lavender eyes follow. Follow until Delilah confronts the noble and is followed by someone else. Then out of politeness the bard turns that gaze away and turns attention to other things. Like watching the dwarf grow closer to this table to talk to the one who sits near Shizin's side. Shizin grasps the drink close at hand and finally takes one small drink before replacing it and seeming to forget it once again.
With Delilah's message, and Volund's friendly clap, Etan can not help and bark a laugh. "And here I thought it was something.... something else." his relief washing over him as he downs the last of his drink, and leaves the empty container on his table. "Debt is serious business, and those who simply choose not to pay are the worst offenders." he states more towards the dwarf than the other two near, looking the small man over. "Like lightning, huh? I'll keep that in mind." now intent on enjoying the show that unfolds. "I thought she was someone's mistress."
Delilah gives one of the lenses another little nudge -- apparently, being a new accessory, they need just a bit of adjusting -- and is about to say something else to Bethany when she looks lover her shoulder at Kisaiya instead. "Delilah," she points out, raising her voice just enough to be heard. "Donna is my sister."
"I don't owe you anything," Bethany asserts, taking the opportunity to stop sputtering and speak up. "You're interuping my evening, girl. Get out of the way and go drink something cheap."
Delilah turns, rounding on the noble lady once again. "Oh no no no, m'Lady," she replies, drawling the last word to make it sound decidedly cheeky. She holds up the piece of paper she's got with the seal on it, and gives it a little flick with one finger. "Put this in the middle of a gambling table six months ago, you did. Wagered it against my winnings, you did. Good for a hundred gold, you said. Your seal, this here little blue piece of wax with a cute little falcon in it, you did, matching that ring you're wearing." She draws herself up, and plants her hands on her hips. "And then lost the hand and have dodged me at every turn since. Well, I'm fed up waiting, and I want my money. Now."
"OH!" Kisa gives another fling of the arms, then tilts her head, "Delilah! S'what I said." She nods her head and continues closer till she can hear, "Oooo-" She leans her head over to looking down at the little seal, a quirk of her eyebrows and then a look up to this Bethany person that Delilah was talking to. She sunk back onto the heels of her boots instead of peering over the other's shoulder and frowns. "Mmm, I think Delilah has the right of it. But /I MEAN/-"
Kisa waves to the Bethany woman, a wide smile, "Hi. My name is Princess Kisaiya of Vandalheim. How are you?" A preen.
The Khazad wildman from the mountains was originally going to wander off and find a nice cave to sleep in outside the city limits, but the sudden tension over at the nobles' table cut through even the drunken Volund's stupor. Flashing a grin at Ezil and Shizin, in which they might notice some of the silver teeth mixed in with the normal molars, the stocky man adjusted his cestus on each fist, the tattoos between his knuckles now especially visible.
"Speakin' o'lightnin', my scrappin'-senses are tinglin' somethin' fierce. This outta be damn good."
And then enter, Kaelyn? Yup, It's Kelyn, as evident as she's got her shoulders and torso through the door, and a bit of wriggling later and stuff, after having caught those really broad elf-drake-taur hips on the door and frame and all, she squirts through and into the place!
Kae glances around curiously, and grins nearly ear to ear as she peeers around, kind of 'shading' her eyes as it were while she peers about the place....
Another pause and Kae starts trying to wind her way through the crowd and such, and reaaaalllly trying hard to keep that long tail of hers -in- control. "Nope, not gonna slap anyone wif it!! nope nope..." She mutters to her self...
Shizin looks from Volund to Delilah and back again, worry beginning to touch the elf's brow. It's clear that a fight could indeed be brewing. Depending on how the noble and those guards reacted to Delilah's words. Concerned the elf subtly rises to their feet and eases the violin in its hold. Certainly the motions of a bard don't garner much attention in the way of increasing tension. Who would consider a violin a weapon? Shizin quietly readies and silently hopes that it is unnecessary preparation.
Ezil watches the evolving situation, nodding to Volund's words. "It might, but now we got a princess involved. That's my cue to step out." standing and offering the dwarf and bard a curt nod. "I'm not in the business in getting involved with courts and ladies. I'm sure they would be wise and not draw, risking incident." his words coming as he steps away, taking up his tankard and heading to deposit it at the bar first. "I'd hope, anyways."
Bethany snorts loudly. "I do not carry large sums of money on my person," she replies, explaining it slowly as if speaking to a child. "Which is what I have told you the past three times you have accosted me with these ridiculous demands. Come to the manor at an appropriate time if you really must. I--"
"I have *tried that*," Delilah snaps, cutting off whatever else Bethany might have been about to say. "Four times, and it seems you have told your guards that I am not to be admitted or entertained, which makes it rather hard to collect on your debt, doesn't it?" The sorceress gives the piece of paper another little waggle, before tucking it neatly into her corset. "So now I'm here, to collect one hundred gold worth of value, in either coin or goods. Or I'll be calling the guards to throw you in debtor's prison." She arches an eyebrow upwards. "Nice ring. What's that worth?"
Meanwhile, the two men behind Delilah are busy just watching the situation unfold, with neutral expressions. Is this amusing? Are they irritated by the interruption? Hard to say. One of them glances up at Kaelyn, and snorts, shaking his head. What a jerk.
It's like there was a disturbance that Kisa could sense. That moment before a storm. The dead silence before an earthquake. Except there was no quiet, but it was that feeling... That sense.
Kaelyn has arrived.
Kisaiya head snaps over, looking over a few heads but even more so as she rises up on her toes again. A wave of a hand that clips someone's (very fine) hat. "KAE! I was looking for you! I had the box and everything!" She has to say this rather loud since the place wasn't exactly quiet.
"KAE!" She cups her hands around her mouth, then another wave, "Did they send you out to the carriage house?!" And then she sinks back down and turns back to Delilah and Bethany. Kisaiya gives another pause, then leans in a bit closer to Delilah, "I can have Kae sit on one. Do you want me to have Kae sit on one?" Her mouth pulls into a thin line, she didn't much care for Bethany's tone.
Unfortunately, Volund wasn't going to be here if a brawl was indeed about to break out, instead his drunkenness had returned with a vengeance. And so he staggered out into the frigid winter air, venturing into the night to find a nice floor to sleep on…
Kae blinks? She tilts her head.. A disturbance! Really, it only takes her a few moments, she still has good ears being an elf and all, before she sees Kisa waving? A blink a tilt of her head and she is flailing her arms over her head "Hiieeee!" She calls out excitedly, her tail wags, and whiffs over the top of some poor patron's head, almost probably removing said head, or at least nearly laying the fellow out......
Kae gets an evil glare from him before he pauses, blinking at seeing well, a dragon rump that's the size of a horse's facing him and well yeah, he ducks down as Kae's tail wags one more time and she knocks off a hat this time, before she heads toward Kisa!
Kae is waggling her arms over her head as she prances, (it's a skip right?) up to the group and skids to a stop before flopping her rump down and sitting on her haunches... That tail is still dangerous folks..
Kae squints and then moves the tail around, trapping it between her forepaws before grinning again at Kisa "Heya Kisa! What's up!?!" She then peers at Bethany and Delilah and waves down to them "Hallo folks whom I do not know!" She says cheerfully.
Kae then blinks and finally well she's realized what Kisa said and blinks "Sit on someone? Huh?" She then puffy cheeks "I'm soooooo not fat!" And another flail.
It seems that things are well in hand, so Shizin lets go of the bow and settles back in the chair to watch the ongoings, even taking another drink of the drink to one side before laying one lavender eye on Ezil. "Perhaps you are right." It sounds somewhat hopeful the tone at least, and beautiful. It's the sort of voice suited to singing.
Ezil pauses at the bar, something nagging at his mind keeping him there as he turns to have an eye on the situation. He falls quiet, keeping to himself. More of those who seem to know Delilah, or friends of her friends have arrived, but the tension left its mark on his mood and he does not yet leave. "This is what the stars wanted?" he mutters with a huff of a breath to himself.
"You are riff-raff," Bethanty snaps.
"That you owe money to," counters Delilah.
"I do not owe you anything," pronounces Bethany. "You forged a piece of paper," she continues, "Made a nice approximation of my family's seal, and then attempt to fleece me to the tune of a hundred gold. I will not--"
Delilah folds her arms in front of her corset and snorts loudly. "Do you really think everyone here is that ignorant? A moment ago you were telling me how and where to collect my winnings from you. Now you're calling me a thief and a liar? Careful, *Bethany*, or you're going to find yourself challenged in court for besmirching my name. And you will still owe me for your gambling responsibilities."
"How could I possibly besmirch a name that's worthless to begin with?" counters Bethany. "Who are you, again? Some bedraggled runaway from Rune, aren't you? You have harassed me long enough to obfuscate any debt I might have owed you, anyway. I won't pay you and if you keep harassing me I'm going to arrange something nasty, you mark my words."
"WELL-" Kisaiya looks back at Kaelyn, "You were supposed to say that out /loud/." She gives a fling of her arms and a toss of her head back in a groan of a sigh. Then a flop of the arms back down, "Fine, I'll... braid your mane or something later." She sticks her tongue out at Kaelyn. But then Kisa hears something else...
Hears Bethany to be precise.
Kisaiya folds her arms, and points at one of Bethany's guards. "KAE! Sit on that one!" She squints and looks back at Bethany, "You did hear that Donna-" she points at Delilah, "-is friends with a Princess of Vandalheim-" she points at herself, "-right? So... how good do you think your odds are now?" An arch of her eyebrows as she starts to tilt her head, still looking at Bethany, "Good enough to go against a Princess?"
Ezil feels that twitch. Something he hasn't felt in a while, but hearing Bethany's words and the threat that followed had sparked that righteous indignation in his soul. "I would not make threats, or at least so openly. I am keen of memory, and I do not forgive, and neither does the Star Mother. Those who abuse others, those who think they can look down on one another and forget what they owe are the lowest of the low." turning from the bar, and looking to all parties involved. "If you feel this woman doesn't have a name worth besmirching, Lady Bethany. I would think again, because I know the damage that truth can do to yours this moment, and it will be trouble if your word and bond are deemed worthless." his tone harsh, his anger sitting just below the surface of his words. "If I were you, I'd be a bit more diplomatic, because there are many witnesses."
Kae blinks and ummmms "I dun sit on folks?" She says veeery quietly and in Kisa's ears... "I"m too heavy they might get hurt!" she then adds, and waggles her arms in the air... "And before you say it, I'm litterally big boned right now! IT's what happens when... Then she's peering at Kisa and blinks as she hears the whole tirade and well Kae is too curious to -keep- control on her tail, it gets loose... It lashes, poor guard probably ends up with massive drake tail slapping his legs..... "eep, sorry!"
Delilah casts a glance to the others, backing her up. She gives a wink, and shakes her head. "Don't worry, I can handle one saucy noble wench who thinks she's all that," she declares. "And if I can't, my sister can, that I can promise."
The two noble men have risen from their seats; one is summoning a fellow in armor who was sitting further off, and both of them are moving in between Bethancy and Kaelyn and Kisaiya. "Alright, that's enough, says one of them in a bored tone. "Just let Lady Bethany put the wench in her place."
Bethany, for her part, is growing red and is practically bearing her teeth. "I've had enough of you," she snaps. "You can take your cards and eat them, for all I care. You have irritated me and hounded me in your attempts to fleece me, so I will be paying you nothing, and if you think you can win against me in court, go ahead and try it. I would rather pay money to the barristers than give it to *you*. And if you don't back off, right this minute, right *now*, I am going to have my man pull your arms straight out of their sockets, girl, so--"
It's at that moment, that Delilah's pistol comes to hand. She snaps the weapon up to eye-level, at arm's length, and the entire establishment goes quiet as she pulls back the hammer with an audible 'click'. "Try it," she suggests, her voice having gone cold. "You'll be first."
Kisa just stares at the Nobles, her mouth forming a thin line, "Try it. I mean -- you did want to assault a member of royalty right." Kisa squints even more, okay, that might've been a bluff. Well, the last part anyway, she really was a Princess afterall. And with that she crosses her arms even more, then looks back at Kaelyn.
"You see this! Besides, they're in armor, if it's well made they'll be fine. You're not /that/ heavy. Just big boned." Kisa stares back at Kaelyn, blinking.
"Wait, what was I supposed to say instead of calling you big boned?" Kisa tilts her head to the side and squints.
Kae ooohs, and nods, then blinks "Well I kiinda am" A flail, and that massive tail lashes as she turns to face Kisa more, incoming hip and tail, the guard isn't noticed and well, the nearest guard trying to block Kisa from Bethany ends up getting hip-checked-tail-whipped by a seriously massive Kae bum...
In short, no mater what armor he's wearing the fellow goes flying! Kae's momentum carries her and she steps on the other guy's foot, and she blinks "Gah, I'm soooo sorry," She says to the fellow that flew. That tail lashes again *SLAP* The guy that just got his foot stepped on gets whapped by the tail too... Kae blinks "I felt another bump..." She then looks at Kisa.. "I slap someone again?" She asks, and peers around... "Oooh, sooo didn't mean to do that too.."
Kae then peers at Kisa and shrugs "Meh, lets be honest, I'm hyoooooge!"
Ezil watches as the scene devolves in one part slap-stick, and one part showdown. He's behind the crowd of nobles on the other side, his words ignored by Bethany, but Delilah's having made it to his ears. "It is your wish, I will let you handle it, but if it goes bad, I will take some heads." sighing and throwing himself onto a stool to watch. "No respect anywhere I go, not for one another, and some not even for themselves." he mutters, a gesture of his hand, and few unheard words follow his complaint, watching closely, intently.
The two noblemen are out of the way, due to... unfortunate circumstances. Bethany's guard, however, the man actually wearing the armor, has arrived and is pointing a drawn sword at Delilah. Delilah, is still pointing a gun at Bethany, who looks like she's fit to burst into flames all on her own.
"The City Guard will hear of this," spits the noblewoman. "Drawing arms against a noble lady? You have no idea what you've just done to yourself."
"Defended myself against your threat," Delilah replies in an even tone. "The next time I see you," she adds, taking a step back and returning her gun to its holster, "I expect to see my money as well, and no more threats Bethany."
With that, the guard puts his hand on Bethany's shoulder, and ushers her towards the door. Once they've left, the bar breathes a collective sigh of relief... and all go back to drinking.
Kisa's mouth sort of opens and closes a couple times and then her head tilts to the side as she watches Kaelyn. It's a very good impersonation of a fish, her head tilts the other direction then and she looks back. "I can't take you anywhere!" Kisa's arms fling up into the air and waggle around up there. "I MEAN! Look! I take you to the concert-" and she gestures back toward where Shizin was, "-and you can't even make it for the music. And then the hip checks!"
Another fling of arms over head, "THE HIP CHECKS!" Then the hand flings off to point at Ezil, "I mean -- What if you hit him with one of those guards?!" The hand comes up and she pinches at her nose. "I just wanted you to /sit/ on them, not turn them into projectiles."
Kisa looks back toward Bethany and Delilah, "THEY WILL! I'LL TELL THEM MYSELF!" She sticks her tongue out after Bethany and looks back to Delilah. "You know, you probably shouldn't have pulled that gun on her. But, I mean, at least everyone say that guy pointing the sword at you too-" The order might be a little backwards, but who's counting the little details?!
Kae blinks and flails her arms in the air "I can't help it! I don't allways have good control and have like noooo spatial awareness!" She calls out, that tail now lashing... Watch out folks! It's dangerous!!! "You try having a horse-sized drake for your lower body and see how much better you do!" Kae puffy cheeks again and puts her hands on her hips....
"I am sure I would be fine, but that Lady needs to be schooled more by her family." Ezil's words coming without humor after the tension breaks, replying to Kisa. "I have seen better manners from the Horse Lords, and the Faring Folk." his statement a bit redundant, his resemblance to the caravan people being rather uncanny. Though instead of engaging further, the man orders another small-beer. It seems he has an aversion to stiff or hearty drinks, shaking his head to himself. "And the point of this?" he asks himself, seeming to talk to himself a little bit from time to time, though Kae's awkwardness and plight seems to bring a small smile to his face.
"The point of this?" Delilah glances back and forth between Kaelyn, Kisa, and Ezil. "The point is simple, from my point of view. She sat down and played cards against me. I won. She gave me a marker for the sum of money that she lost, and I want my damn money. That's the point, as far as I'm concerned." She shrugs her shoulders emphatically, "As for her, I've no idea. Doesn't want to be seen paying out to a commoner, I guess. I don't know. She's got her ego shoved so far up, if you know what I mean."
"WELL That's not the point, Kae!" Kisa sighs and throws her arms out before planting them on her hips again. She starts to tap her foot, giving a thin-lipped grimace at the Elf-Drake-Taur. "I mean! Do you have /any/ idea how expensive it was to get this?!" She motioned at herself, Kaelyn probably knowing she meant whatever she did to cure herself of her particular affliction.
Then she heard Ezil say something that caught her attention. "Sure don't talk like it." Kisa squints at him, her arms crossing, she was a Tsuran too as it happened and that left her very squinty at the other. "Vast, Desolation, or Alexandria?" She starts to tap her foot. "NEVER MIND!" And there's another fling up of her arms and a glance to Delilah then.
"Well, yeah, I mean, most nobles do." Kisa shrugged and started toward the door, "KAE! I'm gonna find more meat on a stick unless you have those pastie things. But I'm hungry!"
Ezil finds himself nodding to Delilah's words, sighing as he waves away her words with a toss of his hand. "I meant of me being here. I was asking.... well it matters not who I was asking." a half-laugh coming as he tosses this drink back quickly with a nod to the dispersing crowd. "I hope she pays you, but that fight seems far from over." he concedes, making his way now to the door. "I come from The Vast, and some days I swear I should of stayed there." answering Kisaiya on his way out.
Kae blinks, squints tilts her head and absentmindely pulls a small pouch of venison pasties from one of her saddle bags and hands it to Kisa "Welll you said in yer letter you wanted moar of these..." She says cheerfully, and then blinks and wavies to Ezil cheerfully, her tail wags once more... That's the dangerous end, really!
Kae then looks back at Kisa "Oooh Ooho sooo how'd you cure your self? Get a permanent shape change or something? I know it's kinda different for everyone!" She says then glances around some and then blinks and realizes the time "Ooh Ooh! I have an experimental cure serum that I gotta check on!" She says with a flail, and quickly the drake taur wheels about, that tail lashing behind her as she trots out toward the door "Byeeee! Enjoy the pasties Kisa!" She calls out as she ducks out the door and come sto a stop... Her rump, it's trapped in the door way briefly before she surges forward and squeezes out with a rasp of scales and she's gone!
Kisaiya says, "NO! I paid for an illusion! IT WAS SO EXPENSIVE! Ugh... I wish it would just /end/ already."
Delilah gives one last look around the place; she gives a raised-eyebrow look to a couple people, before she pffts, shakes her head, and follows others out the door. She'll just have to track Lady Bethany down one more time. Again.
